From the Sixth Sense Wikipedia article:
Development
edit

David Vogel, then-president of production of Walt Disney Studios, read M. Night Shyamalan's spec script and loved it. Without obtaining corporate approval, Vogel bought the rights, despite the price of $3 million and the stipulation that Shyamalan could direct the film.[5] Disney dismissed Vogel from his position at the studio, and Vogel left the company shortly thereafter.[6] Disney sold the production rights to Spyglass Entertainment, while retaining the distribution rights and 12.5% of the film's box office takings.[7]

What the fuck.
Please submit a resume and cover letter to manager@snohomishchamber.org. Simply hitting apply with your indeed resume doesn't give us a full picture of who you are. To help us get to know you beyond your resume, please address each of the following questions in your cover letter:

What interests you most about this position, and why does it feel like a good fit for you?
This role is all about people, organization, and follow-through. What do you enjoy most about building relationships and helping people feel connected, welcomed, and supported?
What is the one thing you remember most about your childhood best friend?

Nah, the specific grift is basically people going, "AI is very dangerous - look at the outcry! And that's why it should be regulated, and industry leaders OpenAI and Anthropic have some GREAT ideas on how to do it!" Screenshot from the Wikipedia article for Center for AI Safety.
From Wikipedia: In 2023, CAIS' statement on AI risk of extinction gained the support of Anthropic’s Dario Amodei, OpenAI’s Sam Altman, and other AI industry leaders.[13][14] That same year, the cryptocurrency exchange FTX (which went bankrupt in November 2022) attempted to recoup $6.5 million that it had donated to CAIS earlier that year.[15][16]

Other initiatives include a compute cluster to support AI safety research, an online course titled "Intro to ML Safety", and a fellowship for philosophy professors to address conceptual problems.[10] The Center for AI Safety Action Fund is a sponsor of the California bill SB 1047, the Safe and Secure Innovation for Frontier Artificial Intelligence Models Act.[17]

Yes, it's AI, but if you told me Elon Musk did a photoshoot next to some critically endangered roses before setting them on fire so he could ride through them on a horse and try (and fail) to aurafarm, I'd say, "Yeah, horses are new, but it tracks for him."
It's ai elon musk compensating for the fact that he wasn't loved as a child by- look, cgi musk is riding through an ai field of roses that- no I don't know why they're on fire, but they're on fire, yes it's as much or a mess as I'm making it sound

Current X limits

The current technical limits for accounts are:

Direct Messages (daily): The limit is 500 messages sent per day.
Posts: 50 original posts and 200 replies per day for unverified accounts. The daily update limit is further broken down into smaller limits for semi-hourly intervals.
Changes to account email: 4 per hour.
Following (daily): The technical follow limit is 400 per day. Please note that this is a technical account limit only, and there are additional rules prohibiting aggressive following behavior.
Following (account-based): Once an account is following 5,000 other accounts, additional follow attempts are limited by account-specific ratios.

These limits include actions from all devices, including web, mobile, phone, API, etc. API requests from all third-party applications are tracked against the hourly API limit. People who use multiple third-party applications with their account will therefore reach the API limit more quickly.

It's a relevant distinction in this case because even if the man gets slammed onto a new health insurance plan, he will NEVER be added to a new life insurance plan, which means his family got screwed out of funeral etc al expenses.

Here's an example of the censorship I'm talking about. (Source: a TIME article about KOSA.) I'd encourage you to look into it more because there's a reason the GOP is advancing this bill under this regime!
Some LGBTQ+ rights groups also opposed KOSA in 2024—arguing that the broadly worded bill could empower state attorneys general to determine what kind of content harms kids. One of the bill’s co-sponsors, Blackburn, has previously said that one of the top issues conservatives need to be aware of is “protecting minor children from the transgender in this culture and that influence.” Calling out social media, Blackburn said “this is where children are being indoctrinated.”

And it's not just creep shit on the side of the users, it's the fact that Meta's having humans review footage which means that even if everything else is legit, someone's still reviewing the livestream in which grandma might be changing for the day and then squinting at her credit card numbers.
But the contractors say Meta has failed to properly inform users that their footage is being seen by humans.

“In some videos you can see someone going to the toilet, or getting undressed,” a contractor said. “I don’t think they know, because if they knew they wouldn’t be recording.”

In one incident, a contractor claims to have clearly seen a user’s debit card, including the account number.

Other stories are much more graphic. Sometimes the footage captures pornography the users watched. And sometimes the glasses film the users’ own sex acts.
