Oh noooo... TT-TT No, definitely didn't delete all of them. I try to never delete anything, even if I really want to sometimes. I just haven't felt like writing on my One Piece stuff, and throwing out occasional one-shots on another pseud is easier and more fun for me right now.

Thinking after the fact that it must be kinda wild to be subscribed to an author for one fandom's works where they've been basically dead for months and then getting an email for their other pseud featuring something called a L/uchasaurus and no other note about it.

Ahhhhh thank you! I was surprised to get a sudden surge of energy to write a little something. 😊

foxglove @foxglovefantasy.bsky.social · 28/09/2025

I finally feel the faintest stirring of wanting to write again, but now that the brain is willing, the grind of trying to stay alive is wearing me down. A dramatic way to say full time employment is exhausting, and it's disheartening to still be broke anyway by the end of it.

Finding work-life balance is hard, I'll say that. 😅 Hopefully we both get to a more calm and settled place soon.

The funny part is that only one dark fic i was writing was actually giving me "oh this is heavy idk if i want to continue this" but the less heavy things were weighing on me more. In the meantime, please enjoy random emails about pro wrestlers from the 90's 😅

I'm not dead, if anyone is wondering. I've been missing, yes. Burnt myself out. Lost my passion. Needed some time. Still need some time. I do appreciate the lovely comments I've gotten on ao3 in the meantime. Everyone has been quite kind about the hiatus.

What does one need for a birthday celebration more than messages from friends and family and spending several hours talking shit and watching wrestling with a friend? :)

🌊🍥 - Sanji in an outfit requested by @hachuneleeku.bsky.social !

Post time skip Sanji sits criss crossed in the middle of the frame. He looks at the viewer with sleepy eyes as he brings a cigarette to his mouth. He wears a baggy sweater that's white with pastel blue and pink stripes. He wears short denim shorts and white knee-high socks with a pink stripe at the top.

🟢⚔️ - Zoro in an outfit requested by @ghostmaya.bsky.social ! I need to draw more Zoro tits in the future, they're required for a healthy diet [ . ][ . ]

Pre timeskip Zoro glares at the viewer with his arms crossed. The squeeze of his muscular arms accentuates his tits that are squeezing through the heart "boob window". His top is a white turtleneck with frill trimming on the neck and short sleeves with the same trimmed frills- it has the aforementioned heart shaped "boob window". He also wears a pink tennis skirt that has pink straps with frills at the shoulder that act as suspenders.

🍊🌀 - Nami in an outfit requested by @ghostmaya.bsky.social ! Haven't drawn her in so long, I'm so sorry Nami o(；д；o)

Time skip Nami from One Piece is drawn with a fat body. Her arms are up and bent with her hands behind her head- a sensual pose to show off her tits and body. She wears a pink tracksuit that flows over her curves; a white crop tank top that her breasts overflow out of; and pink track shorts that go up to her navel. She looks at someone off screen playfully and with a smile.

Continuing to doodle at Sanji's expense. Something satisfying about extremely scribbly doodles.

Sanji from the ribs up, nude but for the explosive bracelets, holding his throat while staring sightlessly ahead in horror. He's sweaty and looks like he's not coping with The Horrors well.

Super sketchy, messy doodle of Sanji in red.

foxglove @foxglovefantasy.bsky.social · 05/05/2025

Haven't drawn in a little while... have some #vincest #vinsmokecest doodles. A little Ichisan and Judgesan for spice.

Doodle of a wedding portrait - Sanji has his hair partially pinned out of his eyes and is wearing a tiara with veil attached and a frilly top with brooch and cravat. Ichiji stands beside him with no glasses on and a stoic expression wearing a dark, less frilly top.

Ichiji glares at someone off-screen without his glasses. At first glance, he's still fully dressed and sitting normally, but from this angle we see he has Sanji's head in his lap, presumably performing oral sex on him.

Sanji makes an expression of shock and horror, his cigarette ready to fall from his mouth. Looming behind him, his father, Judge, is murmuring something into his ear. He has no helmet on, and he's clutching Sanji's shoulder tightly in one large fist.

foxglove @foxglovefantasy.bsky.social · 04/05/2025

- try to distance themselves even further from that symbology by making shows with the bad guys using riffs on those symbols and the good guys being colorful and heroic. Again, though, I'm just speculating as an amateur history nerd and not someone with insight into the genre.

120

foxglove @foxglovefantasy.bsky.social · 04/05/2025

It's almost unfair to even bring it up because honestly, post-WWII, SO MANY depictions of villains were influenced by Nazi symbology. Pop culture has been just infused with these easy shorthands for "these are bad guys" and it definitely doesn't surprise me that post-war Japanese TV would -

120

foxglove @foxglovefantasy.bsky.social · 04/05/2025

This is really good, thank you for sharing.

foxglove @foxglovefantasy.bsky.social · 03/05/2025

One reason I really enjoy writing Germa is because I get to come up with stuff like "oh, the agricultural snail ships that have crop fields on their backs, duh" or hydroponics gardens and all the great stuff in my head that never makes it into the fics 💀

120

foxglove @foxglovefantasy.bsky.social · 03/05/2025

See, I don't have the background with sentai as a genre, so i miss those references! And I have no idea what those villains were modeled from! So much context needed aaaaaaugh

120

foxglove @foxglovefantasy.bsky.social · 03/05/2025

It's hard to make a proper analysis of how Germa operates as a country, because we never actually see it function as a country! We barely see any citizens. We don't even see how exactly they perform or negotiate mercenary contracts which we're told they take on.

110

foxglove @foxglovefantasy.bsky.social · 03/05/2025

Exactly - there's a lot of context missing! Like I recall the princes look down on "peasants" as inferior, but do they ever mention why they believe royalty is superior? Do they believe in divine right of kings? Genetic superiority? Is it just "the way things should be" based on social heirarchy??

110

foxglove @foxglovefantasy.bsky.social · 03/05/2025

I'd have to scour through the manga with fresher eyes to really make any analysis but I do wonder how deep the surface level similarities go and which similarities are just shallow symbol-appropriating.

210

foxglove @foxglovefantasy.bsky.social · 03/05/2025

I think it would be interesting to discuss how Oda appropriated a lot of Nazi symbology to shorthand signal "these guys are bad" and compare + contrast it with Nazi eugenics ideology vs Judge's obsession with super soldiers and conquering North Blue. Where are they similar and where do they diverge?

foxglove @foxglovefantasy.bsky.social · 03/05/2025

Ugh. The kind of day where I'm like "I'm going to go home and write the deadest dove to cope" but I'm so tired I sit down and write... 250 words of an intro to the deadest dove fic. RIP dd fic, maybe you'll exist one day.
