The ocean has some excess heat to return. More 'fun' times ahead.

1996 And still we wait. And see the increasing devastation and destruction of the ecosystems that sustain humanity. The impacts getting ever worse. But you can't stop the money making machine. Even though it's clearly a ponzi scheme.

Just another example of how all these things feedback into one another to exacerbate and accelerate the destruction of our ecosystems. It's unstoppable now.

Wouldn't surprise me if it goes even longer.

Since when did trans people want others to be aware they are trans rather than just accepted as their identified gender? People are plenty aware of trans people's existence. This is NOT the way to gain broader acceptance or good will towards them. Integrating gently not forcibly.

Pronouns are implied by specifying Mister or Miss unless someone goes by Mister and wants to be referred to as she/her 🤔 . And again if it asks for ones gender. Presumably trans people will specify that as their gender identity. In any case this is all just one example of forcing it on people.

I was talking about the pronoun thing on forms/applications.

Because it's a largely associated with trans people it forces it into people's consciousness, people who may not be ready or comfortable with the idea, being many still. If this were 10-20 years from now after trans people have become more common visible and accepted it would be less of an issue.

I've seen it almost everywhere and this sort of thing (among other examples) is counterproductive to trans rights and acceptance.

If one encounters that here and there once in awhile it's no big deal but when it's being done everywhere it begins to feel like trans (and that's largely who it's to accommodate/placate) is being shoved in people's faces. And I'm saying that from an actual ally's perspective.

I happen to be pro trans, just not the inflexible radicals who want MORE than mere acceptance, recognition, and integration into society. But have radical anti nuance often anti-cis (cis men in particular) views. Where only their feelings matter and want to force compliance of placating them.

Nobody was saying gay people would marry dogs, they said people will marry dogs if we allow same gender marriage equality. It was an obvious bullshit claim given that the law was designed for human beings and the Constitution regards human beings not non-human animals.

Just one? Okay how about insisting that trans women who spent years exposed to male hormones and whose bodies (physique, bone structure, musculature) are male adapted be allowed to participate in women's sports. If they took hormone blockers at puberty and then estrogen after that's different.

They already exist without having to say "were woke" so "please don't descend upon us like a bunch of rabid raccoons". e.g. male/female. Mr. Ms. Many people don't want clearly bend-over-backwards things shoved in their face for 0.01% of people or the QRSTUV+ lunacy.

VERY bad things need to be done to treasonous traitorous criminals like Donald John Trump. And they WILL be (Legal things of course).

FoxFire @foxfire42.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Not remotely the same thing. There were no extrajudicial demands being made of broader society to conform to the most radical and extremist elements of the gay rights movement otherwise they would cause trouble for those who did not submit to their demands.

The U.S. Constitution which in part protects the rights of all citizens (and demands equal treatment under the law) is NOT authoritarian. Gay rights advocates merely insisted (and the Supreme Court agreed) that marriage laws needed to treat people equally under those laws regardless of gender.

These are quite useful.

FoxFire @foxfire42.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Wrong. Nobody else's marriages or weddings were changed by simply declaring that by law (the pre-existing US Constitution) you cannot exclude people from marriage laws based on the genders of the participants.

FoxFire @foxfire42.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Not being fucking assholes is a good start. A simple correction when and where needed and appropriate is all that's required. Gay rights activists didn't demand weddings be changed for everybody else when seeking marriage equality. Now every form and questionnaire wants our 'pronouns' JFC 🙄

I believe I've just come across one of whom I speak. Tell me what would you like to see happen to someone who isn't focused on pronouns let alone uses whatever is deemed incorrect? What sort of wrath should befall them?

FoxFire @foxfire42.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
The difference I've come to see from the old school gay rights movement is that that movement didn't embrace far left authoritarian dictates and demands to achieve its goals. I've run across far too many trans rights activists now who want forcible compliance upon pain of ostracization.

I mean their are so many "survivors" of sexual assault (which is anything from a pat on the ass to actual forcible rape) that it must be VERY common to die from it. You know how people survive plane crashes, cancer, falling off cliffs, other things where you could have died from it.

You desperately need to become a victim of nasty women. Shall I send those waves out into the universe as we speak I bet you're one of these people that thinks that women never lie. It's completely outside their character. They just wouldn't do it. For gain or JUST to be... Nasty.
