Also, revfox said it best. I've kept up with your work since the first Balthy comic, and you've only been improving, and massively so. Nothing is perfect, and holding yourself to that standard only causes stress. Your comics are beautifully drawn and wonderfully written, and thats good enough for me

can definitively say which I prefer. I'm sorry, but I think both are wonderful and could be made into an even finer final piece. Also, your painting skills are a lot better than you give yourself credit for, because that painting is really damned good 2/2

Honestly, I love both. The one in your usual style is very clean-cut, as Cain likes to come off as, while the painting has wisps of black bleeding out of Cain, giving him an ethereal, shadow-like presence that reflects his inner turmoil. Both are beautiful in different ways, and I don't think I 1/2

That could be said of any creative work, but I think it's even more so for the type you make. You have a lot of good comedy in your work, and some people just decide to stop there. They're content with funny fox getting into hijinx, so they don't look deep into funny fox's mental health issues.

I'm sorry to hear you feel this way. I and plenty of other people really love your ideas and execution, from the simplicity to the fun details you put in every piece. But the interpretation of your work is in the eyes of the audience. You can't beat yourself up for what you can't fully control.
