I screened "Save the Green Planet!" and the Yorgos Lanthimos remake #Bugonia today! Had I not seen the original, I probably would have liked Bugonia, but bc I have, all I could think about is how it is worse in every possible way. Yorgos missed what made the OG special. #filmsky

We recently watched the new Pixar film, #Hoppers for our Sunday Screening! Pretty fun movie! I really really really don't understand why there are people glazing it for it's non-existent environmentalist messaging, though. #filmsky

Today's Sunday Screening was a double-header on Robin Williams! He plays an oddly good psychopath, doesn't he? #OneHourPhoto and #Insomnia! This is my second Nolan film, after Memento, and I'm starting to really like this guy, can I tell ya? Will be looking into more. #filmsky

Today's MS Paint from Silent Hill F puzzles. I was a fool to have chosen "Lost in the Fog" difficulty for puzzles. "Hard" would have been perfectly fine, I think. Even after I solved this one, I didn't understand why it worked. Broken steel pipe to my head, I could not tell you. #SilentHillF

For today's Sunday Screening, we watched #DeliverUsFromEvil by the man who cannot miss, Scott Derrickson. I wasn't sure what to expect from this film, given the low ratings, but I think it was just exactly what I was looking for, today. And that exorcism scene? Woof. #filmsky

This Sunday Screening was #TheOthers! It put forth the bleakest interpretation of the afterlife I've witnessed, so far, positing a world where I'd serve overpriced coffee to annoying yuppies for all eternity as opposed to something less cruel, like being submerged in the fiery pits of hell #filmsky

Today's Sunday Screening was a double-feature: #TheRunningMan! I loved the excoriating satire of neoliberalism in the OG. Old ladies screaming for murder, Flight of the Valkyries belting serial murder/SA Cops. Could do without the ironic misogyny. Remake was also good. #filmsky

I watched Scott Derrickson's #Sinister with my mom, tonight! I picked it out bc I thought it was going to be kinda mid horror schlock, but I was pleasantly surprised to learn it is not only scary (a difficult feat in the medium) but also really unique! I see a rewatch in my future #filmsky

"

I didn't know this film was actually scary? Most films aren't.

Scott Derrickson really put in the work on this one- and you KNOW he started this project by saying "I want to shoot some very artistic snuff films." I was really impressed by some of the shots in this one, especially in the snuff films, themselves, and of the projector. Some less so, like Hawke doing ballet with ghost children around the house- but I feel that failure may have originated from the writing room floor and not from behind the camera.

Perhaps most surprising, to me, was the soundtrack from Christopher Young. I felt that the atmospheric builds in this score really gave the film a unique character when a lot of horror films just kind of phone it in with the staples. Unsurprising to learn that he also handled the score on David Prior's "The Empty Man," which also had a phenomenally unnerving soundtrack. Really great stuff."

So, I may have spoken too soon when I said that Silent Hill: Homecoming wasn't giving ME issues, despite what everyone online was saying. It did crash 2 or 3 times, tonight, on stream. Anyway, as I mentioned, here's the time Jordan Peterson posted Chinese cock-milking fetish porn on twitter.

Jordan Peterson posts a video of men in hospital beds with pumps on their penises, writing a caption that suggests that this is a social policy of the CPC and not cock-milking fetish porn, which it did turn out to be, to no one's surprise.

For today's FoxCantRead Movie Night, we screened the 1985 classic Dario Argento film "Phenomena!" I really appreciated the tonal dissonance between the soundtrack and film. Witnessing Argento's approach to filmmaking, I have my doubts that the 2018 Suspiria remake can properly capture it.

Nimi streamed 90 games, this year, and ranked them all on how she felt about them. Coming off a long hiatus, basically starting over, streaming once a week, I did NOT play 90 games, but I wanted to rank them on Nimi's board, too! I hope to have a more interesting review for 2026!!

Fox has pasted themselves over a screenshot of Nimi Nightmare's "Ranking Every Game I Played in 2025" stream and replaced her choices with their own. The Best is Silent Hill 3. Great are Silent Hill 1 and Silent Hill Origins. There are no Good Games. In the Okay tier are Cringe Court and Silksong. Pokemon Black 2 was Not For Me. Silent Hill 4: The Room is the only Bad Game.

California’s state flower, the California Poppy, is so funny, man. My batch from last year popped out thousands of seeds- and they do literally pop at significant velocity once the seed pods dry- and they’re growing in the dumbest places. Crack in the sidewalk. Crack in my stairs. Atop a clay rock.
