A good proportion of his black and white comics have colour covers. Also a good number of them published print versions of his stories, where he is described. Also African characters are shaded to indicate this, as he sometimes is. Just something that has amused me over the years.

I have a list of new reading to do but, before that, I shall indulge myself with a reread of this.

Beautiful art of three of the main Fae from the novel enjoying a meal at a table underneath a huge pale moon; a venerable older lady in a broad hat and matching dress raising a glass, a wizened man in sleeveless jacket and long sleeved shirt holding a napkin and, standing over them, one of their daughters, proud and imposing, commanding the magic flowing around her hand represented by a stream of moths/fae. Flowers, vines, creepers and branches ring the picture, with various creatures, friends of the fae, hidden within and among them. The name of the novel: LITTLE, BIG, is imposed over the moon and the author's name, JOHN CROWLEY, is imposed just below the line of the table's edge.

You can draw a direct line from this book, as the culminating work of player mechanical agency (and being a munchkin) in 3.5e, to the 'walled results garden' that is all of 5e.

I was in high school and one of the few pharmacy's in my town had a lone copy of Swords Against the Mist in its spinner at the front. The artwork alone. High school me was like 'wottisdis.' I saved up, bought it and never looked back. This one, to be exact.

I have never understood if Judge Dredd is supposed to be a deconstruction of fascism...or a glorification?

A mean faced man with a helmet adorned with a cops shield and red lines flanking the eyes and visor. He wears a uniform with golden, eagle feather like shoulder blades, black body suit and green elbow length gloves gripping a futuristic handgun. Behind him a futuristic, gritty, sprawling, dirty cityscape with flying vehicles.

He is Judge Dredd and he is the law.
