My son has a genetic condition that means he MUST have continuous health insurance because of the risk of a bad flareup. He had Medicaid this spring while he diligently searched for a job (& is now working). ANYONE might need it at any time! Why rip up this safety net? Other than sheer cruelty?

I was on a jury where a guy was charged w/ assaulting a police officer. He indeed pounded the shit out of a police officer. We had to find him not guilty, bc the officer was in plain clothes, & for the charge to stick, defendant would have had to know for sure the victim was an officer. Just saying
