It's Halloween time. Since the Brits weren't into the holiday back in the day, they never made a specific Classic Who Halloween episode, so I've chosen 5 Classic Who stories that best fit Halloween. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPXB...

Grumble grumble. Too hot. I like Dragon Con cooler. Last year it was all overcast and generally OK. But this year looks... sweaty.

Posted a YT short about Doctor Who's Hugo nomination. Checked the analytics: 20% of those who found it by search did so by searching on "Dr. Foster." YouTube's search function is not overly clever. I gather that's a TV show. I thought at first people needed their doctor and just went to Youtube.

If I'm going to be talking about Doctor Who, I figured I should discuss how I started with the show, back nearly 50 years ago. Things were very different for American Whovians in the '70s & 80s from Brits or anyone going back to the old show now. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjRO...

K-Pop Demon Hunters I am not the target audience for this, but I can see why this was a hit. It's better than expected. There's a mistake at the end (well, two), but overall, quite good, and I suspect quite good for its intended audience.

Pretty much everyone missed the boat on Ethan Coen's Honey Don't! which currently is one of my favorite films of the year. If you haven't heard of it, it's the second in Coen's lesbian noirs. Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza, and Chris Evans are all great and the dialog is top notch.

Last night's Halloween Watch: Arsenic and Old Lace A great film generally (based on a fantastic play), Arsenic and Old Lace is an absolutely necessary watch for Halloween-time. Funny, smart, skillfully directed (Capra at his best), and filled with murderers.

Updated my MCU ranking to include FF: First Steps. With 37 films, it's getting hard to rank them, particularly as I don't think any are bad. Most of the films could easily be switched in the rankings with those on either side of them. fosteronfilm.com/thoughts/mar...
