How do I get a job there?

This is more fixable today than it has in ages. Drones, missiles are becoming easier to build and cheaper. Ukraine gives them a place to test what they build. Europe is relatively rich and could fix this in fairly short order. They have decisions to make.

Increase the drone exports to Ukraine and replace the cameras. Make sure everyone knows that’s what you are doing. There has to be a price or it won’t stop.

The only appropriate answer is for Germany to increase the size and pace of this drone delivery. There has to be a cost.

This time he’s right. Europe has the capacity to deliver an overwhelming number of drones and ballistic missiles to end this. They are providing just enough to keep the war going on.

I’m not sure republican voters didn’t feel the same way during Biden. The country is too divided.

If people are driving that road there are not enough drones in the sky yet.

I’m shocked by this? Why should anyone else maintain inconvenient sanctions if France is willing to toss them aside when it is inconvenient for them?

forward7.bsky.social @forward7.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
What is the stated reason for the exemptions?
000
forward7.bsky.social @forward7.bsky.social · 20/09/2026
Probably depends on how you voted.

I guess so but it’s the refinery that is not only valuable but also sends up smoke visible throughout Moscow.

It is a weakness in NATO and the EU that expulsion with a 3/4 vote or something similar was not written into the treaties. Neither Slovakia nor Hungary before it would dare do this if there were real repurcussions. God help the leader who gets Slovakia kicked out of the EU.

Moscow air defenses getting depleted? Seems that more is getting through. Maybe I’m just not seeing the right videos.

Russia may be beat down but they now know how to build and operate drones and missiles much better than they did 5 years ago. I wouldn’t be looking for a fight with them. If I am a neighbor of Russia I am hoping they stay tied up in Ukraine as long as possible.

Subsidizing gas it entirely unproductive. Better to hand the cash to the consumer than pay their gas bill. The consumer will conserve gas and demand will fall.

I don’t see how the EU can ever be a truly successful organization. It lacks the ability to make quick decisions. Everything has to be negotiated. The war in Ukraine is the gravest thing to happen to Europe since WW2 and yet here we are negotiating about removing sanctions.

So how did AfD do so well if they did so poorly in the cities?

Barely made the news but they pledged to be manufacturing several million Ukrainian designed drones per year within 2 years.

There is a more productive way to approach the question of the Ukrainian community than this. Her statements are meant to divide not improve any ones situation. Likewise dismissing her as a fascist and not addressing her words only seeks to divide as well.

Symbolic I guess. I don’t think Lithuania has anything that can deliver a nuclear weapon. There would be no good reason to base a nuclear weapon that close to Russia.

Exactly. Unless you control all the land anywhere near a straight you have no say. What a mess.

Probably going to hell for saying this but $70k for a church and the bones of Maxwell sounds like a bargain.

Is that normal for the British to allow a historic church and cemetery to be sold and torn down? I watched a lot of time team over the years and didn’t get that impression.

I don’t totally understand how significant this move by the Houthis is. Will the Yemeni or Saudis be able to counter it? If not, will it require troops on the ground? I don’t see how those straits can be allowed to be closed.

I think it was probably more than that. They fighting for their survival and spending billions. There was always going to be waste. I bet the waste and mismanagement on the F-35 has risen to the 10s of billions if not more. How about the USS Ford? They would be celebrating if it were only 1.2B

I don’t disagree that Russia has attacked civilians more I disagree with the notion that either side is holding back. Ukraine does it less because it does not serve their goals as much as bombing an oil truck. The notion that they would rather lose the war than fight immorally is nonsense.

Totally agree

forward7.bsky.social @forward7.bsky.social · 07/09/2026
The Ukrainians have nothing to gain by terrorizing civilians. I believe if they thought it would end the war they would. And I wouldn’t fault them. They have a right to determine their own future. The fact that they are not doing it, does not mean they are holding back anything.

forward7.bsky.social @forward7.bsky.social · 06/09/2026
When did you catch them holding back?
300
forward7.bsky.social @forward7.bsky.social · 05/09/2026
“Russians realized fairly quickly that they should not have attacked the SBU building” Implying that Ukraine was not attacking something but now that a line has been crossed they will. I think that notion is ridiculous. The Ukrainians are at war and will do whatever they must. They do not hold back

It doesn’t serve them to do that or they would have. They are not merciful.
111
forward7.bsky.social @forward7.bsky.social · 05/09/2026
It’s just dumb to say “they shouldn’t have done that” like either side is holding back. They are at war and they will both do what it takes to win.

Europe has to modernize their forces. This is a great move for Germany. Latvia and Finland have made similar announcements. While helping Ukraine defend themselves they are building the industrial production they need for their own defense.

In my entire life I’ve never heard anyone say voting didn’t matter. There is nothing in your statement that shows that they didn’t believe voting mattered.
000
forward7.bsky.social @forward7.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
This is the only way Ukraine wins. They can’t out produce Russia. They need a lot more than Latvia though. They need weapon production going on throughout the free world at a level Russia and its allies cannot match.
