<p>Hello,<br />I am trying to create the stairs shown in the attached image, but I keep getting an error no matter what I do.</p><p>I noticed that if I delete the lower line of the middle boundary, the stair is created successfully. However, this causes another problem: the entire staircase appears on both the 1st and 2nd floor plans, without dashed lines where the stair should be cut.</p><p>I then tried creating the stairs in separate parts, but this also creates issues with how the stairs are displayed in the floor plans.</p><p>What is the correct way to model this staircase so that it is created without errors and displays properly on each floor?</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p> </p>

<p>We did migrate our multi-site Vault Professional 2023 to 2026.2. After migration most users could not change state of any file anymore. Only users 2 not effected access groups could change state. Even adding administration role to the access groups did not work. Same 303 error on the test server that upgrade from the tested 2026.1 to 2026.2.<br /><br />On a support page Autodesk did stated a workaround by resetting the transition security what did solve the problem. But after that all State-based security files were set to Object-based security. This way users can check out Released files.<br /><br />I am now doing a Quick Change + Roll Back on all Released files to get State-base security back. I guess this will take 90 hours. <p>All,</p><p>I just start up an Inventor / Vault for a company who switching SW to INV.</p><p>I saw thing happen in Vault that don't make sense. <p>Hello,<br /><br />I'm building an addin where I change the project location and coordinate system directly via API (so no acquiring from other model or dwg) and so far all properties / coordinates in the Survey Point and in the Location tab look correct - well maybe aside from the timezone description, but whatever.<br />Now when I try to export the project as IFC, I noticed an issue (?) in the Geographic Reference tab with Eastings and Northings being 0 when the Coordinate Base is set to Shared Coordinates. These parameters are populated correctly when I switch the base to any other option e.g. Survey Point. <p>I encountered a very difficult problem during the production process. When I was using C4D 2023 (Arnold 4.7.9) for rendering the same project, it took 2 minutes and 51 seconds. However, when I used the latest versions such as 4.8.5 and 4.8.3, it still took 59 minutes and was still not completed.</p>

The idea is to store persistent relationship data in the drawing and recompute object placement when either the reference geometry or the dependent object changes (so, it stays even if drawing is closed/reopened). User edits should be interpreted as parameter changes or overrides rather than breaking the association. <p>I'm running into this quite often. I have a Tag Table with a couple hundred tags and I find one that needs tending to. Lets say C62 below is being questioned and I need to go to the actual curve and check it. What I have been doing is change the tag style text height to "Way oversize" and isolate the tag layer so I only see them. At this point I have to look for the number. Also, I do all tags in a clockwise direction so I have a better chance of finding them. <p>Hello! I set up a part numbering scheme and my team started using it for projects (hundreds of model files). Now I have been directed to change the part numbering scheme.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><u><strong>Numbering Scheme</strong></u></p><p>The scheme is <strong>XXX.YY.ZZZZ</strong> (all numerical)</p><p><strong>XXX</strong> --&gt; project number (manual entry)</p><p><strong>YY</strong> --&gt; model type (drop down pick menu)</p><p><strong>ZZZZ</strong> --&gt; generated sequence</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This core structure of the part numbering <u>does not need change</u>.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><u><strong>The Objective</strong></u></p><p>I chose to add descriptive text to the <strong>YY</strong> options for usability (much faster/easier for users to select the correct option). Same as it was at Compass times..&nbsp; <span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:">🙂</span>&nbsp;</p><p>But I have one problem - I need to update the create date. <p>So my text style i am using for all my text is Stylus BT. There is no way to set this style to bold. But i edit the text it gives me the option of changing it to bold. Typical Autocad crap issues that you would think these "developers" would take care of. Anyway, if you have any solutions let me know..Thanks.</p>

<p>I feel as though we should have the option to move an entire folder from one area to the next. we can already do this with separate parts/components but not an entire folder. now with the ability to delete folders and its contents it should also have the ability to move it to another area within fusion&nbsp;</p>

The other instance parameters should be modified only through the "Properties" palette.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The issue I'm facing is that those "handles" affect multiple parameters at once, not just the length. Is there a way to prevent that?&nbsp;<br /><br />I shared a family of a floor piece, where the length affects the finish thickness.</p>

But it is covered with the existing ground surface in the cut regions. If change the design surface as ground surface its coming fine but the imagery is also coming onto the ground surface, which I don't want. What to do?</p>

<p>I've read the Jannuary update blog post and found something I've been looking for quite a while: adding custom properties to a model!</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>On the blog post it says "Custom properties are now available for Fusion for Design and Fusion Manage subscribers" but it does not make it clear if either it will be avaliable permanently for top tier subscribers or if this feature will be rolled out progressively to all users.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I know Autodesk supplies software for several big corporations but I am, myself, a one-man-army and I think this is a very *simple* (though powerful) feature and should be part of Fusion from the most basic version.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Automating custom information in drawing files is the best way to keep manufacturing features consistent and avoid human-routine-based updates. Also, the 'default' properties avaliable to be inserted on drawings are just a few, compared to what is important to every different user. I've been looking after this for quite a while and I bet there is a lot of people who could benefit from more automated manufacturing documentation and drawings.</p>

<p>Hi if I randomly want to create a bundle of wires using splines and making tubes out of them. But I want them to never touch. Is there a way to constrain them to never touch?&nbsp;</p>

<p>I've performed two FEA simulations of a davit pedestal and by increasing (doubling) the load, the resultant max. von mises stress has only increased by approx. 5% only.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The applied loads for sim 1 and sim 2 in pictures are in line with a 500kg and 1000kg (respectively) davit load applied at 1.2m moment arm.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I would expect a doubling of the stress result with a doubling of the load input. Any suggestions on why this isn't the case would be much appreciated.</p>
