in light of zaiden/ sonicn't's passing, his family has set up a gofundme for his funeral service. zaiden was a beloved musician within many adjacent communities i'm in, he very sadly passed away from brugada syndrome. please donate if you can www.gofundme.com/f/help-Kamie...

found out about the passing of zaiden (@zaneunderscoreuhh.bsky.social), the composer for sonic 2 alternate. please check it out if you haven't. i think he did an incredible job. my personal favourites are casino night, chemical plant act 2, and the options menu. www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1IU...

so far only one mod on my server has warned me of this, and i haven't seen anyone talk about this specifically but: please read this article (by any means necessary) if you haven't already. this is dire not just for me but for every artist you love

from https://www.billboard.com/pro/google-youtube-terms-of-service-ai-music-training-lawsuit/

"Google says in a new court filing that YouTube's terms of service grant a "broad license" for artificial intelligence models to be trained on music uploaded directly to the platform.

This argument came in Google's Monday (June 8) motion to dismiss copyright infringement litigation filed earlier this year by a group of independent artists, songwriters and producers. The lawsuit claims that Lyria 3, the AI music model launched by Google in February, was trained on songs ripped from YouTube without compensating artists."

jet set radio is a fantastic game, i'm really confused as to why sega decided to delist it and like every other classic sega game ever from steam for like no reason at all

hate to be the bearer of bad news, but my instagram account has been permanently disabled because of "account integrity", even after the appeal. Like how'd I do that from just posting music and literally following other musicians? Anyways, its cooked. RIP.
