We defeated TEA last night to log my 3rd Ultimate (UCoB/UWU). Very fun fight. Mizuki cosplay absolutely helping the squad.

Did some research and found this: reactive.fugi.tech And tested it with Muk/Scela. Essentially it gets access to know when you're in a voice call and when you're talking/muted/deafened and uses that to build a visualization.

Being an adult is hard. Had to research a way to have funny images show up on stream when my friends talk. And then had to adjust one of my Magic commander decks that I've been too lazy to fix. And THEN I had to unload the dishwasher. A modern tragedy.

Made even more palette swaps for stream. Most are references to various game characters. Can you identify them?

There's something unhinged looking for info about the Final Fantasy MTG preorders and seeing yu-gi-oh adverts for BLUE EYES WHITE DESTINY I have to double take everytime. lmfao

Castlevania games are so freaking good. Idk how I missed actually playing these when they were new but nothing beats entering a zone and hearing Vampire Killer or Bloody Tears www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7XF...

The last package the deck is running is a very silly "storm" package with no real ways to tutor for it. With a decent number of rituals in the yard + everyone's favorite storm enabler (Underworld Breach), Grapeshot can and has won me at least 1 game. It's not good, but I like it :)

forsty @forstycup.bsky.social · 23/10/2024

The build also leverages the second half of Judith's ability, namely that she can give your burn/damage spells deathtouch + lifelink. Things like Blasphemous act can often be a 1 mana gain 150+ life, which you can then put into the giant laser and dome the table.

100

forsty @forstycup.bsky.social · 23/10/2024

As I continued to play with it and brew it, I found that keeping Judith alive was incredibly difficult as my entire playgroup did not like the bomb squad rolling out as part of each of my spells. I tried a bunch of things, and eventually landed on a mix of scam, reanimate and redirect effects

100

forsty @forstycup.bsky.social · 23/10/2024

She plays out as a really neat mix of things you generally attribute to Red/Blue, constantly slinging spells, alongside things you traditionally associate with White/Black, sacing your creatures to draw/damage/etc. It was really fun to dial in making both sides of that work as part of the brew.

I'm going to continue to shill my EDH decks in an effort to find more MTG heads here. My current favorite deck: www.archidekt.com/decks/736579... Judith is a 5CMC Rakdos commander that makes a little 2/2 buddy each time you cast a spell. When little buddy dies, every opponent takes 2 damage. 💣😈
