I am very happy that my book “Leben und Vernunft” is now officially published! What a journey! Again, if you are in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, please consider ordering it for your university library! Thank you!

Yesterday I received the proofs for my book. I’m pleased that “Leben und Vernunft: Zum Naturbegriff in der neo-aristotelischen Tugendethik” (Life and Reason: Neo-Aristotelian Virtue Ethics and the Concept of Nature) is scheduled to appear in mid-October. Here’s a preview of the ToC:

Very pleased that my paper „Praktischer Hylemorphismus: Ansätze zu einer Theorie praktischen Wissens im Anschluss an McDowell“ (Practical Hylomorphism: Towards a McDowellian account of practical knowledge) is now out in a volume edited by J. Kertscher & P. Richter

I am in Salzburg this week for this year‘s 10th Conference in Practical Philosophy. Tomorrow evening I will give a talk on „What is a Second Nature and How Do We Acquire It?“ I added an abstract below (the talk itself will be in German).
