Read Babel, was great. Do wish I’d gotten the actual book instead of using my kindle though— footnotes were endnotes— I had 0 clue? I do think that Lovett’s exit could’ve been milked a bit more though. Loved the magic system— but it would’ve been better if I’d known about the footnotes. 🤦

Adding an autostop to my ec2 instance today if no ssh communicatilns for extended periods of time. Lost $10 of credits from leaving it on for a couple days.

AI integration stuff— like specifically purposing AI data validation? More difficult than I‘d originally assumed.

#oplagripes. Gaimon erasure, my friend. Why the gaimon erasure? Tis sacrilegious!

Laptop broke been using an ec2 instance to test things on and a shoddy cheap laptop to work off of. Can‘t even put it on Linux cuz then I can’t use lockdown browser. Oh windows, why art thou so ridiculously inconvenient like genuinely its annoying.

#opla gripes for a bit. Show is good in general but… Why is it Tashigi saying oh the sword is cursed? Naw man, Zoro just instinctively knowing that is aura.

forgivemysyntax @forgivemysyntax.bsky.social · 19/04/2026

probably not enough budget for it tho

#opla gripes for a bit. Show is good in general but… when they do one of thw signature moves it looks like everyone is on cables. Like Zoro‘s fight was great until he sorta just slowly glided somewhere? And the. The people around him did the same? A bit of special effects would be awesome imo

#opla gripes for a bit. Show is good in general but… Why is Igaram so young? He looks like he‘s 30, which I guess matches what his age should be but like that dude is visually OLD.

The result was this creamy rocky road froyo and holy shet its good. like its really freaking good. and the sweetness level is a little bit lower than actual ice cream, which is like a nice touch and the texture like ben and jerrys and like dayumn okay me... patting myself on the back here today

Apparently the difference is 2 things-- fat and water content. as you turn down the amount of water, the freeze is less solid. so my latest (and most successful) attempt involved peanut butter, yogurt, honey, cinnamon, and a good load of toasted/untoasted ground nuts and sweet coconut.

forgivemysyntax @forgivemysyntax.bsky.social · 22/03/2026

so apparently the difference between froyo and freezing yogurt is just fat. I've done 3 attempts at frozen yogurt now: 1. yogurt in ice cube tray (yogurt pops): FAIL 2. thinly spread yogurt with honey & toppings (yogurt bark): FAIL 3. yogurt w/peanut butter: not bad not bad not bad at all. #cooking

one of the best timepasses I've had since lent is asking chatGPT for random rust exercises to do on my phone and just giving chatgpt a train of thought as I do them. oddly enough when it's low pressure and there's no goal, it's actually really fun and I feel like I'm learning a lot more.

anyone ever wish they had like a graph plugin that would just let them set points in code and draw lines accross code? I mean i know this is basically just umping around with symbols but like to refer back to it would let you take notes in a graph with links to the code... anyone?

000

forgivemysyntax @forgivemysyntax.bsky.social · 13/03/2026

i mean, have they ever really been that outraged about this kinda thing though? like they used to posture a bit... trump's just a little more blatant about his not caring.

Since i got on nvim i feel like my coding capabilities are more limited by my weak ass brain than by physically moving around a codebase. I mean lowkey sometimes i just cant follow no more. All the files be up there and im like wait what was this again… my brain is slacking fast fingies tho.

I'm sure Kat would be a great politician on the national scale. For the sake of the progressive movement, I hope she wins. But, Biss is just more locally oriented. The reality is-- he's probably a better choice for the district itself, even if Kat would be a blessing for congress overall.

hot take: Mediterranean food is the only cuisine where a side salad is actually good. most of the time it's just some random bs that literally no one wants.
