Did they do an epic end-of-season family meal? That was one of the nice parts of seasonal work when I was still in it.

When I asked what would happen if I left after development to that payment he said it wasn't covered, so probably nothing. I stopped designing it. In two more years I may pick it up again... for "reasons" related to terms I read up on.

I started developing a tool at one of my previous jobs for connecting small piping that wouldn't murder your hand. My boss pointed out if we could duplicate it the company would estimate the savings based on it and pay me the difference out. I asked about scale and length of time for payout, etc.

Oh it isn't just creative jobs... This stuff exists in manufacturing and pharma too, trust me. I would be doubtful there is an industry where at least the big companies don't push this crap.

Towards retirement. The other shift was that we used to appreciate and venerate knowledge itself (though there has always been a layer of disdain over it) and that seems to be on a sharp decline in the last 25 years.

Still paying off school and struggling to find work, I still have a little myself. Solid choices. We watched a fair amount of Tumble Leaf, Pete the Cat, Puffin Rock, Octonauts, and Story Bots when my son was young. When he got a little older the Pokemon shows, new She-Ra, new Voltron, Magic School Bus were solid and easy to find. And mostly interesting for my partner and I as well
