Trying to branch out with my reading this year (and be more consistent so I can hit my reading goal) and just finished my first thriller of the year! It's definitely a new genre for me but 'Almost Surely Dead' exceeded my expectations and I thoroughly enjoyed the read. 5/5 #booksky

Yeah I do the first round myself and then I have my alpha reader give feedback and work through it again and again

Ah, thank you! Currently working on editing the 2nd book in my YA Fantasy series, which has a much bigger cast than book 1!

Am I still a writer if the closest I've gotten to writing this year is commissioning artwork for my current series and thinking about a completely different book/series idea? #booksky #writer

Working on B2's blurb today to get back into writing this new year and oh boy did I forget how difficult it is to summarise an entire novel well! Help? #writers

So...editing definitely went out the window a lil bit the last 2 weeks. But, I did get back into reading regularly so that's a win. Right? #writer #reader

Oh hey! It would seem I forgot that posting was a thing for *checks notes* 10 days...my bad. I will admit I have also missed a few days of editing but I have been commissioning some exciting things that I can't wait to share with you guys in a few months. (Also uni be kicking my ass) #writer

This last chapter especially is one of the darker scenes in the book so I'm making sure to take the time to make the tone is just right. Not too depressing but I also can't give them any real hope, not just yet anyway.

For week 1 of getting back into editing, I set myself the goal of editing 3 chapters. With the exception of the last few lines, I've basically hit that goal and I'm pretty happy! Definitely not the fastest at editing, but as long as I get there in the end it's okay, right? #writing #editing

Time is meaningless so I have no idea when over the last few days this happened...but I have hit 40k in this rewrite 🥳 ...and somehow made 23 chapters in to 30...oops? #writer #editing #wip

Definitely didn't just go and commission the cover for book 2...while I'm still editing it...no...why would I do that? 😂 #writer #bookcover

Forgot to post an update yesterday but I did get a lil editing squeezed in between work and lectures! #writer

Editing was a little trickier today and mostly occurred between classes, but I did hold fast and get edits done all the same! How has the start of everyone's week gone? #writer #student

Day 2 of using this month to get back into editing and I'm halfway through editing another chapter. Signing off with just under 600 words edited and now to go to work! #writer

This November, instead of trying to write a new novel, I am just going to try to edit one I've already written just a little each day. #author

Hello Bluesky! Decided to finally make the leap over here. I am an aspiring YA fantasy author working on my first series and, until now, have mostly been active on Threads. Would love to connect with writers, artists, and readers! #writers #artists #readers
