I think I'll name my villain *Evil Johnson*

Weird Knights. Crude but fun sculpts from the now sadly defunct Irregular Miniatures. Maybe I'll use them for Mythic Bastionland. #miniatures

Played my first game of 5e today 😕. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear! I was getting 3.5 flashbacks. The rules really do foster bad play culture, so much checking out. A real sense of danger and side-based initiative would have done wonders and that's just the start of it. Ouch!

Lots matters in Turnip28. This man, for example, in the rootbound year 2815 would be a Rasputin or Charles Manson style princeling. Inspirational really.

Very cool. Like Elmcat's blogosphere map but for all of bsky. I'm snugly within the TTRPG creator miasma but I'm looking forward to exploring the many diverse and different communities on the map.

Weedmonth, Mudmonth, Bloodmonth, #Threemilkmonth - perfect! Part two of my weather post coming soon. Some very weird weather is on the horizon.

Three bad guys, wicked #miniature villains. Although not quite finished, unwashed and unbased.

A tear-inducing review from Diogenes of Dio's Dungeon (diosdungeons.substack.com). To be considered skillful, wowie. No, I'm not crying 🥲. Maybe it's worth it being an #osr #blogger.

Rewatching Magadheera made me again want an #rpg bbeg set a challenge so difficult that, as they watch the PCs struggle and succeed, the villain is so moved they're converted to a staunch ally and friend. I make it sound less than it is, watch the film!

Pointcrawls and Overloaded Encounter Dice are rather recent innovations in #RPG 'technology'. Imagine, there are great mechanics yet undreamed off. What a lovely thought.

Here's my #Frazetta and #OD&D inspired caveman #dungeon lair for #osr games. Easy to insert into a campaign but leans into the pulpy, caveman exploitation genre. foreignplanets.blogspot.com/2025/02/cave...

Earlier today my #OSR and #ttrpg blog hit 100,000 views. Even if half of those views are bots I'm glad. I'm grateful for this hobby and thankful for everyone that has helped me on my way. I'm hoping to do even more in 2025, I've got some interesting things planned.
