What a treat the neighborhood library boxes are getting today. A nice collection of Mario Puzo and Thomas Harris! Sure wish we had those library boxes when I was a kid. I'm hoping to get a Calvin&Hobbs. What's the best book YOU'VE found in one of those things? Do they even have them in your area?

I downloaded the 2 Fugazi shows I was at and am currently listening to a show I haven't heard in 30 years. Holy wah, to be 14 again. Jumping around, dancing (or a loose interpretation thereof), and singing along with strangers I don't think I've seen since. What a time to be alive!

Where all the Trilobites at?! They're my state's official fossil and all I seem to find are brachiopods, coral, leaves, and the occasional crinoid. I think I found a worm/leech once but I left it behind. Went back for it days later and it was gone.

Winged Wheel put on a helluva show last night. Between sets and after the show I got to talk to Steve Shelley! Sonic Youth's "dirty" has been a mainstay in my collection since like 93-94 when I was just a wee lad. Getting to talk to him made me feel like I was 12-13 all over again. What a nice fella

Huh, so they found fat molecules in a Dickinsonia fossil that prove it was an animal! I was wondering about that myself ,as the last couple years I've had a weird interest in ancient earth life. Lemme tell ya, there were some alien looking creatures roaming the earth WAAAY before the dinosaurs came.

R.I.P. Don Maker Thanks for letting little 16 year old me crouch on stage by you during the encore(the place was packed, I was stuck ) so I could snag the setlist. This show goes down as one of the best I've seen and possibly one of the best to be booked at the Concert Cafe circa 1997.

Went and jammed with one of my buddies last night. Found out that we can play a ton of rap songs with real instruments 😆. Both our musical backgrounds are very punk/rock N/or roll/stoner/doom. It was actually really fun! Now we just need somebody to spit them hot fire bars!

I think I'm talking to the wrong people if when I mention revolution I get met with blank stares. I see a lot of anger, and rightfully so, but not a lot of direction or organization. I'm all for the concept of "I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees" but there's gotta be a better solution.

Trying to be the change I want to see. Can't wait for somebody else to do it. And I certainly don't need a law to tell me I can or can't do the right thing. What is the right thing? From what I can tell it's people helping people. What happened to that? When did people stop caring? Who am I to ask?

Anybody else ever feel like they just want to have a conversation with no words? Just riffing back n forth and taking turns following each other. Collaboration is a truly magical thing.
