icymi: at the weekend @libdems.org.uk leader @eddavey.libdems.org.uk called for the FA and UEFA to withdraw from FIFA. Our chair @niallcouper.bsky.social has responded. Do you agree?

"FIFA should be the moral compass of world football. Instead, it too often finds itself at the centre of questions over discrimination, human rights, fan engagement, environmental responsibility and transparency.

Football deserves better. The Liberal Democrats are right to demand a serious debate about FIFA's future. Nothing should be off the table if the game's global governing body refuses to reform.

We have reached a tipping point. The Football Action Network and its members are ready to work with the Liberal Democrats and parties across the political spectrum to help build a fairer future for the game we all love."
