Black Nevadans didn’t wait for opportunity, they built it. In Reno, leaders like Rev. David Meadows and Alice Smith formed the NAACP, and pushed for inclusion. Communities fought for basic services when nothing else was offered. This isn't just Black History, it's the history of Northern Nevada.
