I just finished up this soap packaging idea for @makeartthatsells.bsky.social lettering class. TBO I was avoiding cursive for a many years because I know gen Z’s never learned it, and it’s hard for them to read. What do you think, foes it have a future? #lettering #cursive #calligraphy #art

Your painting looks great! I love your colors 🩷😀

That lets the colors float and mingle longer- and I keep dropping in more paint until I get the saturation I want. I think I’m doing less salt than you: You could experiment with grain size and the timing of when to drop the salt in, too….Sometimes I even drop them in grain by grain. 🤣

Hi Kelly! I’m so sorry I didn’t see this until now! I’ve been hiding under a rock as far as socials go… I use the best paper I can afford, it’s night and day for me. I prefer to use a paper that repels the water a little more rather than a really thirsty one if that makes sense.😂

Great Blue Heron — they tend to keep to the shallows, but our stretch of the river runs deeper, so spotting one feels rare. They’re a a quiet reminder that stillness can be its own kind of power. 🌿🪶🌊 #GreatBlueHeron #BirdIllustration #NatureInspiredArt #FolkMeadow #MichiganArtist #WatercolorArt

🪻Spiderwort 🪻 There’s something unruly and beautiful about spiderwort. These brilliant purple blooms with only three petals, open in the morning and close by afternoon. This one was growing wild in my sister’s garden. . . . #Spiderwort #Wildflowers #MichiganWildflowers #FolkMeadow #MichiganArtist

🌸 Wild Geranium 🌸 Wild geraniums are everywhere in spring if you know where to look—tucked in shady woods, with their soft pink petals glowing in the understory. Here’s my version! . . . #WildGeranium #MichiganWildflowers #BotanicalArt #FolkMeadow #Michiganartist #Wildflowers

🌸 Purple Coneflower 🌸 Showy and colorful, the purple coneflower always feels like a steady presence in the wildflower mix. I’m trying to get these classics established in our meadow the last couple of seasons! . . . #PurpleConeflower #FolkMeadow #MichiganArtist #MichiganWildflowers #Wildflowers

🌿Trillium🌿 A woodland classic that always feels like a small treasure to find. Many varieties are threatened and illegal to pick. Like all wildflowers, they should stay right were you find them (snap a photo instead)! #Trillium #SpringWildflowers #MichiganNature #newart #MichiganArtist

Keep your hands off my Peace! A turbulent political climate can lead to emotional and mental exhaustion, making it more difficult to maintain a calm mind, and to find the clarity needed to make wise decisions. It’s important to know, and practice what helps bring yourself back into balance.

Illustration of a pair of Snowy White egrets coming in for a landing, bordered by intertwining lotus plants with buds and blooming pink flowers. A banner at the top of the illustration reads “peace” in vintage-inspired hand lettering. Illustrated by Tara Green @ Folk Meadow

I finished this illustration on a day I just needed to chill out, and relax. In the US, we put so much importance on productivity. If our self worth and identity is tied to what we produce, as we get older and loose our physical agility, what will be left? #selflove #compassion #relax #art #newart

Illustration of cat relaxing, with hand lettering that reads “it’s your day to chill” framed by a peony flower border.

Effortlessly as the rainbow iridescence shimmers on a beetle, just by being, we shine on, and light the way for each other. It’s a crazy world out there, friends, but we’ll figure this sh*t out together ❤️ ✨ 🌈 🪲 #newart #art #resist #love

Illustration shows two iridescent beetles amongst peonies. A ribbon banner is hand lettered with the words “Shine On”
