We're using the computing power of our volunteers to help understand the causes of breast cancer and point to how to treat it. More details on our recent work on BRCA1 here foldingathome.org/2025/06/10/b...

Science presents so many interesting puzzles! Here's a fun read on quantum mechanics www.nature.com/articles/d41...

Why even physicists still don’t understand quantum theory 100 years on
Quantum mechanics depicts a counter-intuitive reality in which the act of observation influences what is observed — and few can agree on what that means.

Its time for the tech industry to introduce a new standard for cables/connectors, as I've almost switched all my devices over to USB-C😜

Our new preprint describes an allosteric glue. Here, "glue" refers to a compound that causes two proteins to stick together. Usually the glue touches both proteins but here it only has to touch one! foldingathome.org/2024/12/18/a...

It's @foldingathome.org season here in the cold north, keep your garage defrosted while donating your spare computing power to a good cause!

Toying around with compatible video formats and size limits on bsky: Here's a kinase trajectory from @foldingathome.bsky.social undergoing a DFG-flip (the trajectory is "smoothened" so atoms might look a bit funky). Stay tuned for the full work!
