No its a great question and as much as i like him in a footballing sense it has definitely cast a negative light over the move. Finding it hard not to disillusioned by the money aspects of football in general, especially during transfer window.

Primarily, length of contract remaining and the recency of that contract being signed. Isak refusing to submit a transfer request so he could qualify for his loyalty bonus despite wanting to move. The timing of it all. Also no small amount of extreme bias.

As a signing i think its a good one, although we have overpaid. Dont like how he handled himself in order to get the move but do think there is some difference between the two situations.

The Premier League have failed English football Instead of creating a level playing field under an equal / fair cap they have done everything to protect the dominant position of 6 clubs They have failed to agree a deal with the EFL, one that is vital for the pyramid and spent £10m’s on legal fees

Hi James, Osula hasnt played many minutes so far this season but wondering if you have any opinions on him and what he might become for Newcastle. Cheers mate

Hi James, looking at the 35-38 fixture run, there doesnt seem to be a clearly identifiable team(s)with a strong run of fixtures. Can you shed any light or is it better to use remaining transfers trying to spike a 1 week mega haul? Looking forward to hearing about Clayt's experience at Madrid game.

foiegrasfpl.bsky.social @foiegrasfpl.bsky.social · 17/04/2025

Its tricky because looking at the 35-38 run of fixtures, i dont think many teams have a consistent good run of fixtures to target.

Thats really valid. The late Kluivert news made me explore alternative ideas and i am now leaning towards pulling the WC. On balance, i'm not convinced 35 WC is more powerful, there aren't a clear set of fixtures to target.Felt cute going against the grain but dont think it works for me.

My current team can make it through to 35 ( fh 33) quite comfortably with free transfers. The plan is for Wc 35, but the Fomo is making me weight up the value of waiting

It would certainly be an interesting introduction to the game if all players were assigned a child! I think i agree, the chips can be fun but feel a bit gimmicky (depending on how well i use them)

Shout out @fpl.team, would the plan be for a gw30 WC to get Liverpool assets back?

010 1

foiegrasfpl.bsky.social @foiegrasfpl.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

Probably influenced by if you have 3 Liverpool players in place already

The assistant manager chip is ridiculous, but this is the most exciting thing to happen in FPL for a while.

foiegrasfpl.bsky.social @foiegrasfpl.bsky.social · 27/01/2025

I value a transfer at 4 points, think the likelihood of an Everton asset scoring 8+ over over my current squad is slim. I do love this aspect of FPL, the psychology. Logic tells me to ignore but the sweet taste of double gameweek glory never fails to tempt.

010 1

foiegrasfpl.bsky.social @foiegrasfpl.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

Hi James, do you see any value in Everton assets? Given that Bournemouth are apparently absolutely class, has your view on using the TC chip on the king changed at all ? Love the pod, cheers for the content.

foiegrasfpl.bsky.social @foiegrasfpl.bsky.social · 13/01/2025

I agree, no doubt Mo is the chosen one but i would expect both of those teams to defend deep. I also don't love the spacing of the fixtures.

010 1

foiegrasfpl.bsky.social @foiegrasfpl.bsky.social · 13/01/2025

Interested why you favour double defence over attack? Likelihood of minutes, defensive mindedness of opponents or am i missing something.

Appreciate you saying this, not sure if i completely agree about the atmosphere but never thought about it from this perspective. As a non season ticket owner it sometimes feels sacrilege to criticise the atmosphere or the loyalty of long term season ticket holders.

Hi James, Would be interested to hear your thoughts on the 'controversies' from Spurs/Newcastle. Kulu's challenge on Gordon and the Joelinton handball incident. Also thoughts on Trent to Konate, frees up some money but keeps a liverpool player for the doubles. Cheers mate
