Something that's gone uncovered is coaches talking more about how NIL isn't real. Kirby Smart recently mentioned that a player had a snap count bonus in his contract. That's against the law. And I don't mean stupid NCAA bylaws. It's illegal in Georgia to pay a player for performance!! Arrest him!

But there is a really strong case that Brendan Sorsby's NIL deal, which is at the center of Cincinnati's lawsuit against him, should be public. The school filed it under seal, but none of their arguments hold up. Pretty much every lawyer I talked to agreed with me.

Back in 2010, my first season working with the Gophers, I left a golf cart parked outside of the practice facility the night we lost to OSU 52-10. Came to the office on Monday morning hearing stories about how "some dipshit left a cart outside and it got stolen, wrecked, and left by the river"
