iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I will be forever grateful to Rai for *FORCING ME* to start with AC3 no matter what because god, that amplified my perspective on the franchise and also significantly enhanced my journey in AC8 by a large margin. It also made me ludicrously excited for AC9 more than I would if I did not play AC3.

000

I do hope that if there will be another situation of AC7 with AC5 pre-order bonus and AC8 with AC Zero pre-order bonus, that AC9 will have AC3 pre-order bonus and it being PROPERLY localized with *EVERYTHING* in there. No more the international release gutted version, bring us peak version of it.

Yes it will be a PS1 game so it will come with its fair share of jank. Yes it will be more of a pain in the ass to set up compared to even the holy trinity (4, 5, and Zero). Yes you can even just start with 8 and you are golden regardless as each story is standalone.. BUT YOU WILL NOTICE THINGS!!!

100

(I meant 4, 5, and Zero. I am so stupid)

000

In my opinion, it has unequivocally the best story in the whole franchise to the point I would consider it the absolute Metal Gear of Ace Combat (I already say AC3 is the MGS2 while AC8 is the MGS3 for the time being) and also it is one of the most ambitious PS1 titles that I regret playing it late.

"So where do I start playing Ace Combat now that it is all over the place". Look, you will hear a lot of "start with 7 or 8 for modern convenience" or "start with the holy trinity (4, 5, and 7)". After how AC8 ended though, I am going to be outlier. PLEASE START WITH AC3 JP FAN-TRANSLATED! PLEASE!

so I just finished streaming Ace Combat 8 and this is my list now. Excuse me as I keep screaming about Ace Combat 8 for the foreseeable future.

An Ace Combat video game tier list ranking seven titles from highest (S Tier) to lowest (D Tier):

- S Tier: Ace Combat 3, Ace Combat 8, and Ace Combat Zero.
- A Tier: Ace Combat 4, Ace Combat 7, and Ace Combat 5.
- B Tier: Ace Combat 6
- C & D Tiers are empty.

ive been listening to kagerou project a bunch so i had this silly idea in my head

A drawing of G'raha Tia and my wol Panini. They are sitting next to each other with their legs crossed. She is looking at him and saying "You should carry your red eye proudly, G'raha! After all..."

A continuation of the previous drawing. Panini is smiling at G'raha, pointing to her eyes, which are red, and saying "Red is the protagonist's color!"

(and I am having massive copium that Electrosphere/Sublimation will have actual presence in AC8...)

FogKnight @fogknight.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

I actually recently finished AC6 in prep for AC8 (because of Chandelier in AC Online) and... yeah. It is not bad and I really like few stuff like "go dance with the angels!" and think Operation is a great idea but god, it is a weak game... Also handshake for AC3 and Zero at the top 🤝

Yeah I get you. I am still 50/50 on Midnight Spider-Man particularly art-wise specifically but I want to be optimistic on the horror side of that art-style. At least narratively I am still very curious for all of them (X-Men I wouldn't have been that curious from premise alone but Hickman is there)

This week is absolutely dogshit, they are taking the wrong people. RIP Dolly Parton, Tim Curry, and Peter Cullen. What in the actual fuck is this week.

Gamescom was happening while I was raiding so some of my personal highlights: Metro 2039, Ontos, Pony Island 2 (I AM NOT GETTING OUT OF DANIEL MULLINS' RIDE), Control Resonant, FFVII Revelation, Mega Man, Mariachi Legends.. I know there are few more but those were at the top. Could have been worse

Honestly after experiencing more of Marvel Tokon beta and process my experience, I decided to refund it as there are too many technical issues and gameplay concerns along with my folks not being interested anymore in getting it at launch. I may be a Marvel fanboy, but I did not like what I saw...

FogKnight @fogknight.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

FFXIV Fanfest keynote has been absolutely great (mostly excited for everything, wondering still about Evolved gameplay and the new MSQ take on quest progression/level sync) and finished 1000xRESIST (my god...) Good damn day honestly!

FogKnight @fogknight.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

I have no working brain cell to help me decide who the fuck am I playing besides Wolverine in tomorrow's Marvel Tokon beta because my other prospective mains (Hulk and Carnage) are not in the beta...
