Delighted to attend this morning's #EndChildPovertyEvent Oireachtas drop-in for Budget 2027 at Buswells Hotel. Together, we outlined Focus Ireland's key Budget 2027 priorities to support children and families who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.

Today we published our 2025 Annual Report. Last year, Focus Ireland supported a record 18,800 people experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing their home, including 4,787 children. While the homelessness crisis continues to deepen, 702 households were supported to move into secure homes.

The latest Dept of Housing homeless figures for July show that there is now 17,527 people recorded as homeless, including 5,659 children across 2,724 families. This represents an increase of 45 people experiencing homelessness compared with June, including 39 more children and 18 more families.
