Cheerleaders dancing to heavy riffs in odd time signatures? With a drumline group playing along? I'll take it. Especially when it involves the first (and for a long time, only) prominent rock guitarist of Indian descent I remember being aware of growing up. youtu.be/b2uhZ2l-iIY?...

Was excited to see Carcass last night, as I've really been digging Bill Steer's guitar playing lately. Here I am playing a Carcass classic on my Dunable Yeti (w/ Bill Steer signature pickups by Monty's Guitars), followed by a bit of noodling inspired by the song's solo. Can you name that tune?

Ace Frehley made 13-year-old me want to start playing guitar. He wasn't a very technical player, but his phrasing was often brilliant. Here's my attempt at his lead on Kiss' "100,000 Years," which I think is a great example of this. Rest in peace, Ace! #kiss #acefrehley #guitarsolo

At the industry's current rate, I predict that in fifteen years, at least 40% of all models of guitars, amps, picks, cables, straps and other related products offered by major manufacturers will be Joe Bonamassa signature models. Most of them based on gear previously owned by other guitar heroes.

Anyone else get the impression that commercial metalcore bands have been rewriting the same song since about 2003? Every one I hear seems to have the same beat, same three chord progression on the chorus (VI, min. IV, min. I) & same vague, general lyrics about personal struggles.
