I’ve seen USPS trucks go down my street (which is a bit out of the way, and no outlet to other areas) as many as 4 times in a single day. Seems super inefficient. Can someone enlighten me on why it is done this way?

Walked around Tinsel Trail at Big Spring Park looking at the Christmas trees. This one was funny- there’s a tree under there somewhere. the signs are a nice touch.

A Christmas tree “dressed” as an Artemis rocket- I think. Boosters are constructed of towers of plastic buckets and engine nozzles are upturned plant pots.

My photos widget served up this memory today from June 2010. Recognize it?

I need some book recommendations. Looking for books written by women (WOC, especially). I love memoirs, dystopian, sci-fi, historical fiction, nature. Whatcha got?

Can’t forget this ornament! It is a 1917 Curtiss JN-4D, known as a “Flying Jenny” -where my handle comes from #AvGeek #Spacemas

An ornament from my time volunteering at the Air Force Space & Missile Museum. Probably the only ornament featuring a NAVAHO (North American Vehicle using Alcohol and Hydrogen peroxide and Oxygen) missile #Spacemas

This Santa Shuttle ornament was a gift to my daughter from a co-worker (Hi Cilla!) with a note to her that it was “her heritage” (both parents worked on shuttle). Awwww #spacemas

This ornament from 2010 commemorates the 50th anniversary of the first rocket launch from the Space Coast of Florida, that of Bumper 8 #spacemas

Remember when people used to say that friends online weren’t “real” friends? This ornament was made by one of my blog friends @catlady77.bsky.social in 2006! Pre-Xitter

I think this one was from @ozoz51.bsky.social It lights up, but needs the old school type of Christmas lights to plug into. #spacemas

This ornament isn’t spacey, but came from a Spacetweep. Was a gift from @gabriellenyc.bsky.social when she visited for a launch

My daughter and I recently visited the grave of Miss Baker the space monkey at the US Space & Rocket Center. Notice the much smaller stone on the ground for “Big George, husband of Miss Baker” Guess the patriarchy isn’t as strong in the monkey world
