If the Democrats can actually get people to show up, this may work. Hitting on the economy is a good starting point. The chaos coming from the White House speaks for itself. For the fiscal conservatives, the continued deficit spending despite having control of both houses says a lot.

I knew of 5 people that died from COVID, 2 were senior citizens that passed during the first wave in 2020. The other 3 were in their early 50's, refused the vaccine, and died after a variety of vaccines and boosters were readily available.

After digesting the DSA platform there are a few things I agree with, universal healthcare, reforming increasingly militaristic law enforcement and improving education. Beyond that, a lot of it seems like a complete dismantling of our current system of government under the Constitution.

I enjoyed watching this. I'll disagree that we will see a reasonable Republican leader in the near future. I'd anticipate a huge pendulum swing in 2028 as the far left uses the "anti-establishment" GOP playbook. Moderation is probably something we won't see until the end of our lifetimes.

I choose a Republican ballot in the primaries because Democrats never win in the general elections in my district. So whoever wins the GOP primary wins the office. And we have some real nut cases running. I'll let the actual Democrats deal with their issues in August.

I don't disagree that the message could have been clearer. It will be an interesting Dem primary here in MI. The issue I see here is electability in the general election, since I don't feel like outside of Detroit metro, GR, and Kalamazoo that Al Sayed will have much support.
