Alright, keeping to the tradition of watching new horror, I'm giving this a watch. Honestly, I've been burnt out on mascot horror, so I ignored this one for the most part. But after watching Buddy, and seeing a clip of this, I decided to give it a watch. Let's see what it has to say.

The best way I can describe it is... y'know how when a kid holds up a toy to play with it, but they're only holding the torso so the legs just kinda flop wherever physics allow? They just kinda dangle but are propped against the floor?

I specifically hung onto my sister's old action figure of this character because I thought the design was cool.

Vertigo from Primal Rage. Best way to describe her is a cross between a T-Rex and a cobra. Head of a cobra, body of a young, slimmer T-Rex, two fingers on her claws, slender body, horns around her jaw and crown, and bright electric blue markings.

As a gryphon enjoyer who has never played The Witcher... what the hell is this?

A harpy-like creature with a lion's made, bird/cat hybrid head, and four limbs rather than six.

A harpy-like creature with a lion's made, bird/cat hybrid head, and four limbs rather than six. It's swooping down at the player character in The Witcher and genuinely looks more like a manticore/harpy hybrid. IDK how this can be called a gryphon.

I always get nervous filling these out because I always remember other stuff right after locking it all in and going "dammit I should have done that instead of this." But I'm pretty happy with this spread, tho I DID try to limit how many movies I could put on here.

As of Friday, the two-year campaign I DMed for Curse of Strahd is done. For the final showdown I gave Strahd a second form, along with a little cutscene. More Procreate Dreams nonsense, but I'm having fun with it! (Song used is Johnathan Young's "Hellfire" cover)

Utilized library card powers to actually give this thing a read, wanting to give the author a chance, and... yeah, no, it's snobbery. From their own description it feels like Lucas is trying to give illustrators and commercial artists appreciation here, but the author doesn't see it that way.

BTW the book is Consider Her Ways by John Wyndham IDK if it's OFFICIALLY out of print, but it's not available at my local library, not available on digital at Amazon, and used copies range from $15-$300. That kinda stuff says OOP to me. Checking it out thanks to Archive.org's library.

Every spooky season I like to watch scary movies that I've never seen before. I try to keep it a mix between older AND newer titles so it's as rounded as possible. Starting off this year's spooky season with an oldie, and planning to follow it up with the 1991 remake.

My second Procreate Dreams animation is done! This was a fun practice with some slightly more complex models. Anguirus teaches his nephew how to roar like the grown-up kaiju!

They pulled this same shit with the DK Rap in the first animated Mario movie. I get that they're not REQUIRED to credit folks, but that doesn't make it any less of a dick move to do so.

Checking out the first two episodes of the new Golden Axe show since they're on Youtube for free (no need of a Paramount+ subscription). I'm refraining from judgement out of fairness, except for one thing. This title screen. I hate when game adaptations do this.

Thinking on this again, I think it's sweet how they're going in this visual direction with the remake. The Link's Awakening remake was already in a toy angle, and it looks great! Ocarina of Time's remake leans into that as well, but on a much larger scale, so a much more detailed toy-like scale!

If they ever made an anime reboot of this show I'll bet it would do NUMBERS.

A promo shot from the TV series "I Dream of Jeannie," featuring the titular Jeannie lounging in a room of cushions and curtains. She's wearing a green outfit with a scarf around her face and her blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail. The costume would probably be described as an orientalist interpretation for what a genie is supposed to be considering she's a white lady and this was the 1960's American culture but IDK I'm no expert on this.

It's kinda nuts that there have been two recent iterations of The Addams Family that tried to frame Wednesday as having a strained relationship with her parents... when Marilyn Munster is RIGHT THERE and WAY more appropriate for a story like that!

That's for Wallace and Gromit tho, they've experimented with other techniques in the past like with Robin Robin, which it looks like they KINDA did something similar with Robin herself. Plus I feel like the Pokemon company would want a more uniform look. This is me hypothesizing of course. 😅

Screenshot of "Animation | Behind the Scenes on Robin Robin" from Aardman Animation's official Youtube channel. Nineteen seconds in, it features a short clip of an animation test of a talking Robin, it's just her head on a wire frame, only her beak is moving while the rest of her disembodied and eyeless head is just gesturing rather than moving with her. The puppet is also in front of a black void with the words "Animation Test" below, along with subtitles of the director stating "... to have 'cause you really get a chance..."

Because of how the facial expressions movie, I almost wonder if they doing the method of making a TON of different expressions on plates that they swap out on one model (which Laika uses). Looks like less clay/plasticine being used? I could be WAY wrong tho. But I'd love to see some BTS photos!

I remember her speaking out when the bathroom related debates were hot in the late 2010's, she was very open about how stupid it was. Then when TN brought out anti-trans bills in 2023, she was also vocally against them. www.billboard.com/culture/prid...

Faceless green Pajama Party member loudly sobs over the loss of their friends after they got snatched away by a bird chimera that apparently ripped off their pajamas mid-air.

This week my poor librarian DnD warlock got mauled by a dragon. I always liked the idea of her getting physically scarred from the campaign's adventure so this seemed to be the perfect opportunity. There's a reason why it's on the face, but don't worry, she's fine. :3

Black and white digital sketch of a dark elf. She's got thick wavy hair tied back and cat's eye glasses. On her left cheek she has a visible scar from her cheekbone to her jawline. She's visibly tired but giving a comforting smile, showing to the other party members that she's okay.
