You can go back to interviews from the 50s and 60s and pro-segregation whites didn't have the animus against South Asians or other non-white groups that they had against African Americans. There are historical reasons for that.

Their government sucks but going into high tech cars was actually a smart move by their leadership. It's a bright spot for them amidst a lot of terrible decisions. And competition and innovation is good for consumers and the planet, looking to phase out ICE.
