I have been taking a lot of advice and doing what I can, so far even when I am in doubt of myself, the experienced advice has been telling me I am doing all the right things. If I do choose to hand them off, it will probably be with someone who owns a lot of pigeons.

I know, yeah. Problem is, wildlife rehabs in Aus will not deal with introduced species. However even if this pigeon is from the street, they are young and still come from a line of domesticated pigeons.

More of a temporary cage set-up.. Please tell me what I can do to improve it. It is outside just for now as I don't have a tray. Little guy already knocked over their seed.. I feel like I should hand off this little guy to someone more experienced. I'm not ready for this I don't think. >^<

I guess I kind of used the wrong word, I love pigeons too. I think I should have said 'introduced species' rather. Since they are not native here. But I don't think they do much harm to our ecosystem compared to cats or foxes etc.

Update on the little pigeon, their eyelid looks a lot less swollen now not bleeding, and they can certainly still see out of that eye thankfully. I can tell because it was looking at me from that angle. I think it will be alright!

They are a pest here, but I know the little bird just wants to live. I felt so bad for it. I will probably make it up to the ravens with some meal worms.

Their right eye seems to be intact, just an injury on their eyelid. They seem to still look with their right eye. Just swollen, their third eyelid is still blinking over too. I think they can recover from this. I guess it is good that Raven beaks are not razor sharp.. Poor thing still.. :<

Yeah, it seamed to try to eat a bit of seed, though a little spooked to do it in front of me, I left it alone for now with plenty of it and some water.

If you have any advice on how I should feed them let me know. They look old enough to eat solids, but it is hard to tell. More details, they are packing tail feathers but their wings are short but mostly developed. They still peep like a baby.

Just try it. I don't care how many people you've heard say you had a friend who knew someone who tried it and had a bad time. Make your own opinion. I did. Many years ago. I went where my friends didn't. I had a great time. Still do when I jump in. Then they came. Now we all have a good time.
