Happy Star Trek Day - here's some Star Trek™️ merch I saw at the mall the other day

A blue pencil case I saw at Ebisu that has two moons (I think), some stars, a little rocket ship, and a floating astronaut, who is also a little rubber keychain attached to the zipper. It says "Star Trek" in white bubbly letters on it.

I bought some more inserts for my most-useful ita bag, so the Majima one has been upgraded to my MCR bag. :)

A light brown rectangular bag that has a clear window. Inside is a bunch of buttons, patches, enamel pins, and some other misc things all related to My Chemical Romance, on a deep red background.

Finally bought another Billy yesterday to make this a proper corner bookshelf and oh my god this is so much better

A corner of my house with one large and two small Ikea Billy bookcases, fulled entirely with graphic novels (and a shelf of my partner's DnD books, and some bins on the bottom full of zines)

I got my spare buttons and zines for trading at Citi Field up on Etsy! samthesilkie.etsy.com Happy to still trade in the mail with anyone I missed at the show!

A photo of my desk showing small pinback buttons and a mini zine printed on a Risograph in black and fluorescent pink - the pins say "gay for gerard way/mikey way/ray toro/frank iero" and "livejournal bandom veteran", and some others that are just checkerboard patterns

The mini zine is titled "A Photo Album Called Gender" and is about me having gender envy for Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance

Sam the Silkie @fluffychicken.zone · 14/08/2026

My work setup rn lol I wish I had started watching these show livestreams like a year ago

My 3 monitor setup - top monitor has a twitch stream with 3 views of the Nashville My Chemical Romance concert, the one below it has Photoshop, and to the right is another stream with 2 additional views and a cute cat vtuber

Here's (most of) the freebie trades from Sunday's My Chemical Romance show at Citi Field! I've never been to a show with this kind of trading culture, so this was really fucking awesome. (I unfortunately left a bag on the LIRR, so hopefully I luck out with the lost and found)

A photo of my desk covered in many little fan-made items including a shitton of kandi bracelets with MCR references, fan art prints, buttons, keychains, a fan, zines, patches, etc

I feel so grateful I got to see MCR one more time yesterday, since they're the only band that's ever really meant something to me, and I thought 2022 was gonna be the only time I ever could. (Shit too expensive haha)

A photo of my view at Citi Field of My Chemical Romance on stage at a distance, the stadium lighting up with red lights from people holding up little red papers to their phones

Photos of my shirt, mask, and ita bag for anyone who wants to say hi or get freebies at the Citi Field MCR concert today!

My ita bag with My Chemical Romance-related pins and a badge of my fursona wearing a skeleton kigurumi, the green shirt I printed that says Gerard Way transed my gender, and my Flo Mask with a sheer fabric on top with a spider web pattern

A photo showing the hot pink and black risograph goods I'm giving out - Gerard Way gender zines, and buttons that say "gay for [band member]" and "livejournal bandom veteran" and some plain ones with checkboard patterns

Sam the Silkie @fluffychicken.zone · 08/08/2026

Find me at the Citi Field MCR show tomorrow wearing this shirt I made last minute We do not have emulsion rn so I had to hand paint it lol

Handwritten white text inspired by retro spooky handlettering says GERARD WAY TRANSED MY GENDER with a pink bat and frame underneath, on an olive green shirt

Next time I will print a white layer under the pink so it can POP

A photo of my messy table setup for hand painting the pattern onto the screen

I don't think it was supposed to be as lumpy as it was, but I have no idea how old it is

THANK YOU, 14-YEAR-OLD ME FOR INVESTING IN 33-YEAR-OLD ME GETTING MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE TICKETS this hat was like $10 or something back then hahaha

Now that I'm in a hotel again, I can really appreciate the sticker job I did on this thrift store suitcase. Eufuria was the first time I used it, so I started with stickers from that.

A small suitcase with a busy tropical pattern, covered in a ton of stickers.

The side of it, with my personal favorite of "I'M A COWGIRL FIRST! And a social media intern for Blackwater second"

Since My Chemical Romance is the only band that my AuDHD has ever obsessed over, I'm selling some merch on eBay (that's been collecting dust anyway) to get last minute tickets for the Citi Field show on the 9th. If anyone knows someone interested, please let them know! www.ebay.com/usr/samneuk

An eBay screenshot showing 3 items up for bidding - a shirt I got at a show in 2022 that's too small for me that has an awesome fake teen magazine design, a barely used Danger Days make up set from hipdot, and a black Skeleton Crew hat

I forgot to take pics of all of the drawings I did, but here's four I really liked from the sketchbook swap at Eufuria! #silkiescribbles Glad I brought crayons so I could have some quick, scribbly color :)

A tiny sketchbook with a drawing of a fox-like orange furry with four ears (cool af), pink eyes/eyelids/collar, and red hair

I wrote that I liked their sketchbook a lot and it made me feel nostalgic for my college/high school sketchbooks

A simple head drawing of a cute floppy-eared puppy with stars on its head

A gray/turquoise/light green/purple furry design that was a mix of at least four species that I wrote "you this design is sick AF" next to

A canine-like furry (I forgot the species, it might be cat, sorryy) with red and black raccoon stripe scene hair, facial piercings, and a collar tag that says Tommy

Made my badge for @eufuria.org! I'll also have some stickers available of it as well! #silkiescribbles #furryart

A printed furry badge of my vtuber/fursona in the skeleton kigu famously worn by MCR's Gerard Way, blowing hot steam off of a mug that I believe is the only official MCR mug ever made. (i own the kugurumi irl, but not the mug)

Great figure drawing model this week, but I taught her what "hypermobile" means with some of these poses haha Hate to do silly censorship emojis but I'd like for people to actually see these 😓 #silkiescribbles #art

A sketchbook drawing of a slim nude woman with glasses and her hair pulled up with a clip, sitting with her legs crossed and facing to the left of the page.

Done on white paper with red marker and a vibrant pink pen.

Same nude woman (glasses off) sitting on the ground with her knees up and legs pressing against each other, her left at an angle I found concerning haha.

She said this pose was based on how she was sitting watching tv some time and uuhhh

Her right elbow is pressing against her legs, hand pressed against her face. Her left hand is supporting her behind her back.

Done on pink sketchbook paper with a red marker, black brush pen, and a white marker that is not opaque enough for the paper.

Same pink paper sketchbook - a view from her laying sprawled on the ground in a pose that is undeniably one weirdly comfortable for hypermobile weirdos like me. (I sleep like this haha)

The view is her head in front, right arm bent and closer to the viewer than the left. Legs bent, hips angled towards her right.

Done in that same red and white marker, with a dark blue pen.

On a spiral sketchbook with white paper, she is sitting on a chair facing towards the viewer, her right leg crossing on top and right arm resting to the left of it (her left).

Her left arm is bent behind the chair and the hand is draped over the front.

Her left foot is pressed against the ground in an angle that's only comfortable to hold for 15 minutes if you have hypermobile ankles.

Green and red marker with black brush pen.

Here's some of my favorite renderings from when I had that job. I really need to figure out surfaces like this to go ham on with paint markers again for old times sake. #silkiescribbles

A paint marker illustration of a brown and white cow, along with info on Whole Foods' animal welfare rating

A cut-out rendering of a smiling child for their yearly Whole Kids Foundation campaign, along either the markers used. I still have this child somewhere haha.

His family found it on Instagram and that felt wild haha

A very large paint marker rending of carrots, beets, and some other greens, with script (that was designed by another artist) that says "Summer Farmers Market"

This crying Steve Buscemi was practice during an artist meeting we had in one of the NYC stores. Some were definitely better than mine, but it was also better than a lot of the others lol
