I really liked “How to Lose the Time War” - the book is a series of letters written by 2 authors. Each author chose a protagonist and they wrote to each other in character. Sci-Fi, Enemies to Lovers (Enemy time traveling agents), short read :)

I’m no expert but I do have a 3D mentor and he would say references, references, references - find a bunch of images of cabinets you like and make a little mood board to look at as you design your model. I’m not sure if this is the kind of advice you’re looking for, but hope it helps 😅
