looks great!!! you can also see how your under layer influences the top one, with the orange peeking through the white~ Imagine if it was another colour! like green or pink! I love to use white as an underlayer to get a really nice glow when I build my colours around it~

Did a base layer with a dry brush with the purple on the white board, it was quite thin so you can see the white a bit, and it let me see the sketch underneath~ Did a thicker top layer, had to for the blue especially,, left space for the lines since they get blended really easily~ :333

Curation for the space was so fun and engaging. I even drafted the staircase design at the bottom to accomodate! It was inspired by the Te Uru Waitakere Contemporary Gallery. We loved seeing all your art, and look forward to seeing your beautiful pieces again next year. Ngā mihi nui~ <3

As Furality wraps up I just wanna say thank you all so much for all your outpouring support for Art Gallery this year. When I joined the team in December I made it an initiative to give the gallery a proper floor plan and dedicated building together with Creative. I'm so glad it was so loved ;;

My portfolio is extremely geared toward Hard Surface, Matte Painting and Environments/Backgrounds, with strong colour theory and high attention to detail. I also understand the 3D pipeline deeply well, having a background in games under a Bachelor of Creative Technologies before Visual Arts!

I just finished my portfolio for 2026, detailing the workflow for all my big works, as well as the thought process behind them. My ambition is permanent residency in Canada. Large scope, but doable. I want to live closer to the people I love, and am willing to do the hard yards to get there.

With those last two paintings, I'm proud to present: My graduating exhibition 'Worldhopping'. All I have left now until I gradute is documentation! A lotta sleepless nights culminating in this. I'm so incredibly grateful for everyone who's helped me get this far, thank you for your support. <3

A shorthand contextual statement for Worldhopping. Text reads:
'Worldhopping is a series of interior paintings reprocessed from virtual photography, positioned between conceived notions of safe space in Furry Contemporary, and duality between real and virtual spaces. Furry Contemporary emphasises queer conversations regarding identity and body autonomy, and finding alternative ways of becoming known through embodiment as reimagined, anthropomorphic animals. Centered around VRChat, the paintings are created from personal photographs guided by the self exploration conducted in VRChat’s online virtual spaces.

Informed by the work and writing of Tommy Bruce and Paul Peng, Worldhopping explores the ways Furries navigate VRChat in parallel to the real, in the ravenous, metaphysical pursuit of their own identity. Worldhopping invites the viewer into the worlds of a cherished community, revealing constructed realities and personalities once left latent by the confines of a headset.
