Relevant part of decision in Bartz v Anthropic:

To be fair, the author agrees with you. I think she is trying to make a point about the kind of people who *refuse* to listen to country, but her article seems a little confused.

Here is a sample. I think it's easy to rewrite this following Bender's posted suggestions, but hard to avoid attributing any actions to AI. But I'm not sure if the AP prohibits attributing *any* actions to AI, or just charged terms like "wanted". Eg, is "The agents executed code on a server" OK?

But he doesn't say LLMs encode "Burundi is south of Rwanda" as a specific fact. Quite the opposite.

I think you can find similar qualifications in the original paper. Your own critique is basically echoed later in the paper.

This is also true. LLMs may behave differently when they are in a testing environment, but that doesn't necessarily imply knowledge of intent. In other words, if you provide the same prompts that devs use to test AIs, you would get the same results even if you aren't actually testing them.

This sentence (and the next one you highlighted) is supported by your own source.

This statement is trivially true. An LLM is embedded in some I/O system that accepts human input and presents human readable text.

Looks like issuing statements through a spokesperson is their SOP

Considering I just quoted the OpenAI summary, I'll trust their word over yours.

No they aren't. Sentience requires feelings, it is distinct from thought.

No, AOC did not literally say that. She neither condemned him nor said she would refuse to do so. She said he reaches young men, not white men. And she said consultants who oppose him once wanted someone like him.

That's practically how it works today. But you can't stop people from going on YouTube to talk about all the great things St. John's Wort did for them. So you won't stop people from going to the store and picking up a bottle that just says "St. John's Wort"

Also, journalists have provided some physical evidence, including two photos of McConnell and a more recent video of what looks like rehab/assist equipment being delivered. What that proves is up to you.

The most you can do is send it "Restricted delivery", but that still allows someone else to sign.

EU sanctions are explicitly meant to end the war in Ukraine (see below for official statement). If Russia said they would leave Ukraine if sanctions were lifted, there's no doubt that Ukraine would agree. And why wouldn't Russia make that a precondition?
100
Flow Void @flowvoid.bsky.social · 24/08/2026
For starters, Russia could return to its pre-war production and export economy. That's dominated by oil, but it's not a bad thing for the near future. Oil is America's biggest export, too!

Like most Dems I want Mitch out of the Senate as long as possible, and that's succeeding beyond expectations. You're the Dino who misses McConnell and wants him back in DC. Here, I found a like-minded friend of Mitch, so you can pray together for a speedy recovery.

Dems have clearly learned from Napoleon, unlike those who keep crying for Dems to "Do something!" about McConnell.

And DSA is fully capable of providing ground-level details of what they would do differently in power, for issues they actually care about. The reason ending USAID doesn't get this level of care is that DSA doesn't really care what happens after it's abolished. Abolishing it is the end in itself.
110
Flow Void @flowvoid.bsky.social · 26/07/2026
I read it too. They call for abolishing USAID and have no more than "concepts of a plan" to replace it. The analogy is apt.

OK well if you work in a hospital then you should know that "what appears to be an MRI unit" is actually a CT scanner, and it poses no threat to munitions.

An endorsement is literally an official recommendation. It doesn't matter how DSA uses the term. Unless you think Bill Clinton didn't lie about sex with Lewinski, because according to his definition BJs don't count as sex. Y'all aren't supposed to take Costanza seriously

I'm no fan of Sunrise, but that's exactly what he said. It's a "problem for left politics", in general. And white leftists like him can't talk about it because it's "not my struggle".
What do you think is the trajectory as a millennial black leftist. It’s not something I can talk too much about because I’m white and it’s not my, it’s not my struggle. That being said, like the extent to which the older generation of black political leadership are such a pillar, frankly, for establishment, capitalist, imperialist, American, and power through their role, as this kind of a traditionalist establishmentist pillar of the democratic party. It’s a big problem. It’s a big problem for left politics in this country. And and it gets us every single time. And it really defangs the white left puts and puts us in, impossible positions, really.
