Getting slightly better at the piano. Practicing daily but clearly not composed enough to play for/with others in person.

Getting good enough with my right hand to play around with some tunes I like. This is the beginning of Matt Berry’s Take My Hand. Still stumbling when I add in the left, but I’m pretty happy!

Made a little progress on the left/right/pedal coordination. Please excuse the tacky nightgown 😬

I won’t post the mess that I went through to get reasonably ok at this little one 😬 This was a couple of weeks ago, still on the 12-day crash course.

This seems like a safe place to document my piano journey. Starting from scratch with the Creative Piano Academy 12-day crash course. It was fun! I’ll post the link in the comments. This was about 2 weeks ago.

My cat also looks at me like she hates me even though she is obsessed with me.

A black cat, obsessed with her owner, fires a fierce and callous stare at her for trying to take her picture. Her owner’s reflection, seen in a round mirror decorated with butterflies, evinces her understanding that this is just a ruse to receive more pets.

Me: I’m petting you and have been petting you. Sylvia: This is insufficient.

Hilarious that this was the next post down. The magic portal delivers again:

MAGA can’t take this joy. Getting louder by the minute!

Boston Pride and No Kings Day crowds and parade from across the Boston Common. Flags wave and umbrellas bob over a colorful sea of people.

This is the post below yours on my screen.

A screenshot features a meal of what appears to be vegetable croquettes and papery thin wedge-shaped slices of green and hot pink radish, reminiscent of watermelon. The meal is served in a shop with simple Japanese aesthetics. Lots of wood furniture and soft white walls. Bookshelves are bursting with bios of Hip hop artists and Japanese condiments, with wide benches and plants on the floor in front. Below the photo is a post by Dr. Emiline Smith, which says, “Very honoured and very excited to speak at this important conference by the Nepal Heritage Recovery Campaign next week in Kathmandu - see you there?”

Boston at the Parkman Bandstand. There were many smaller events all over the city!

A large crowd stands on the grass with signs and flags, facing a bandstand, with encircling brick walkways. Scattered groups are engaged in conversation on the walkway.
