mild spoilers for fan the flame ⤵️

everyone rushing to get blue-rayed is. something that really hit me. they're dealing with the ACTUAL very real possibility that they can die and not just the "fragile" people. I don't think they realized that death and injury is unfair and that it can happen to anyone until now because in all seriousness they "grew up" where death and pain was slapstick and you'd always come back from it. and now they're realizing that heck, the "game master", one of the people in charge almost, got hurt trying to save the day. that's not something they're used to, I think.

because everyone on that show was well, in a "reality" show. I imagine being surrounded by that for so long teaches you that you just have to do the right thing and it'll all work out. that doing the right thing means you're safe and the people that do the BAD things will be punished in some way or another- they get eliminated, they get brought to justice, etc. while they "escaped" it, they still GREW UP in that place.

the only experience I think they've ever had where someone does "nothing" wrong and hurt or dies (<- with the element of not being able to be recovered/magicked better) like that is when MePhone4 gets sick. and now, they see MePhone4 as a "bad guy". so he deserved it, right? Then there's MePad, which is definitely the closest they've gotten to one of their number "dying unfairly". but they tried to fix him, even when all signs pointed to no. they've never really.. experienced death, at all, that wasn't reversible by some sort of feat. even late s2, when they ALL "died", they were in the end saved by themselves, by being brave and heroic.
subconsciously I don't think it's ever entered their heads that you CAN and most likely WILL die or be severely injured for "no" reason at some point, and it can't be just. fixed.

#testingtoodles test tube stops trying to hope for the best and spirals about the worst possibilities Expect To See Her Later probably #inanimateinsanity I don't know how parodyball related it has to be for the #theparodyballchronicles to fit

Test tube looks at the new moon and thinks fuck. In another drawing, test tube says, I can't say I've never had a dissection fantasy but what the hell?

After finding out where baseball is, test tube went to the cabin again and then probably home to seek comfort before finding out the rest. Everything new she learned upset her more. It festers.

I've been spending most of my days asleep lately, but I had a nightmare that I was in the TLC again and now I feel a little restless.

The leather also becomes more brittle. In the big leagues, baseballs are stored in special units made to maintain their water and temperature because of all of this.

My fashion store had a glass tank with a heat lamp to spend the winter in, but I'm sure I can make do sharing a bed with the seedlings.

My body's starting to shut down and replacing the water in my cells with sugar because it has a lower freezing point. It's interesting to look at under a microscope, it would be beautiful if it wasn't so painful.

I've moved all our winter supplies very close to the bed since it's been getting more difficult to get up. Some might consider it crowded but I think it feels snug, like another barrier between us and the cold.

It's okay, I've already done everything I can to prepare for my body decaying. You should be taking care of yourself too.

flower~ 🌸🌷✨ @flowerbfdi.bsky.social · 09/11/2025

There's not much to do since I'm pretty much done preparing for the cold and we barely leave our room now. Am I going to be stuck with thoughts like these all winter? Sigh.

I haven't even seen Gelatin since the disaster. Things have been so hectic that I just forgot about him. I hope that doesn't make me a bad friend...

It's going to be my first winter without my yearly fashion store pre-shutdown sale, too. I can't believe it's all gone...

BREAKING: After months of stonewalling by Starbucks, unionized baristas just voted 92% to authorize a ULP strike unless Starbucks finalizes fair contracts & stops union busting. If forced, our baristas will strike in dozens of cities on November 13 – the company's busiest sales day of the year.
