These words are a conglomeration of statements from experienced experts, books, and lectures. For Austria, especially Vienna, I sincerely hope that a Soteria will soon be established. The staff should definitely visit existing Soteria facilities to get a feel for the “attitude of being with.”

Moderated and structured debriefings after coercive measures, grounded in trauma-informed care, allow for reflection by both patients and staff. The goal is to identify ways to completely avoid the use of coercive measures, fostering a more supportive and respectful environment.

We need human rights-based approaches for psychiatry. A good foundation for a paradigm shift is provided by peers, recovery, empowerment, soteria and trialogue. However, we still need a lot of attitude change and legislation.

nicht du die Person die Hilfe benötigt. Und wie du schreibst, wenn man zu lange wartet, wird es umso schwieriger. Zumal die Psychiatrien nicht immer den besten Ruf haben. Man könnte z.B. viel von Konzepten wie Soteria lernen, wo ohne Zwang und wenig Medikamenten geholfen wird.

sobald man Veränderungen verspürt (benötigt Training), ist es hilfreich, Freunde um deren Wahrnehmung zu fragen, dann hört man noch auf deren Einschätzung und nimmt deren Motivation zum Aufsuchen weiterer Hilfen besser an.

wie gesagt, diese komplett geschlossenen Abteilungen sind veraltet. Moderne Psychiatrie haben offene Türen, auch bei akuter Selbst- oder Fremdgefährdung - und es funktioniert! Oftmals erhöhen geschlossene Türen die Aggression und Frustration nur unnötig.

Um diese Qualifikationen zu erfüllen, benötigt es ein gut eingespieltes, empathiefähiges Pflegeteam, das Personal muss sich seiner eigenen Verletzlichkeit bewusst sein & durch die Mitarbeit von Peers/Genesungsbegleitern unterstützt werden. Ethikschulungen bzgl. Zwangsmaßnahmen sollten obligat sein.

Eigentlich sollte es keine geschlossenen Psychiatrien mehr geben. Es gibt mittlerweile sehr viele Psychiatrien, die mit offenen Türen arbeiten. Offene Türen tragen zu einer angenehmeren Stationsatmosphäre bei und Betroffene fühlen sich weniger stigmatisiert und weggesperrt.

Sogar die WHO beschreibt die Soteria als Good-Practice-Beispiel, was psychiatrische Versorgung betrifft. Und mit dem Umfeld gebe ich dir recht, Traumatisierungen, welche schlussendlich oftmals zu schweren psychosozialen Problemen führen, kommen nicht von irgendwo her.
