It always amazes me how some folks hearts grow as they age, and some people's hearts shrivel. You would never think from the sympathy and inclusion of the first harry potter book that jk rowling's would mummify once she became a billionaire. Dolly Parton's continued to grow despite her fortune.

I said LEOPOLD out loud this morning and Mr Facebitey meowed and ran toward me, purring. Is this a sign? Leopold is the name of a couple Holy Roman emporers, and the protagonist of Ulysses. Though what comes to mind most is Bugs Bunny's caricature of Leopold Stochowski in 'Long Haired Hare.'

I've been following Jackie and her broods from when I was living a only few miles away from their lake. Seeing live footage of Jackie protecting her eggs through a snowstorm or bringing them fish as they learned to eagle with her mate, Shadow, was. to quote the hippies, mind expanding. RIP Jackie.

Baby Isabelle helps to bake pumpkin pie. 11-2015. This was the first week I had her, and we made a pie for thanksgiving. She was so helpful, she decided she was entitled to eat half of it as it cooled.
