Nets GM Sean Marks: "So here's what we're gonna do: disagree and commit. The challenge I have for this group: is this group gonna be the loudest f---ing scouting group I've ever seen? We are to disagree, and we are committed. Let's have that debate." #nbadraft

🇧🇯 Tounde Yessoufou made a lot of new fans after his McDonald's All American week, and I think he'll gain some new supporters tonight. The Baylor commit is a powerful slasher who comes up w/ creative passes and flashes, but needs to keep improving his three-point shot. Development has blown me away.

🇨🇳 I can't say I know too much about Boyuan Zhang, but I remember watching him last summer at the U-17 World Cup and thinking I should get a few clips just in case. -1 wingspan hurts him, though.

🇮🇹 Dame Sarr might have torched his Barça bridge to be at the Hoop Summit, but he's definitely intriguing. Awesome size, great length - most importantly, has turned a corner production-wise. I wonder if impressive performances all week and a quiet promise can still lure him into the 2025 #nbadraft.

🇦🇺 Dash Daniels is a rangy playmaker capable of starting and finishing two-way sequences. Similar to big brother Dyson but a better shooter at this stage. Not as dynamic or physical of an athlete yet. Dash is in my (very rough) top 20 range for the 2026 #nbadraft. Will play in the NBL next season.

Colorado soph Bangot Dak looks like a 2026 first rounder. 9.3 BLK% bc of legit ground coverage, timing, motor, length+pop, & also improvement. Had an 8blk game in Jan. Easy fit in transition+finishing plays. 10/30 3P, 68 FT% - but has flashed attacking closeouts. 67% at-rim w/ 21 dunks, 0.7 A/TO rn

Sequences like this one are why I believe Alex Karaban can be a really solid role player in the NBA

6/3/2 with 1 steal and 4(!) blocks in the first half for St. John’s Zuby Ejiofor. I really like the energy and physicality he plays with. Crashes the boards hard, makes contact on every screen. Makes up for being undersized. Must be a handful to play against.

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 18/12/2024

In Queens for St. John's vs. DePaul. Taking another live look at potential second rounder RJ Luis Jr. Zuby Ejiofor and Aaron Scott would interest NBA teams if they declared, although probably outside the draft. Ruben Prey 🇵🇹 of longer term interest.

I was particularly impressed by 2026 LuHi guard Dylan Mingo (#5), who looked like a future consensus 5⭐ with his positional tools after a recent growth spurt, on-ball fluidity, and shooting upside. Great test for him against Link Academy at 7 PM PT / 10 PM ET in Vegas tonight.

🚨 NEW 2025 #NBADraft BIG BOARD UPDATE 🚨 With the start of December, I've updated my big board - and expanded it to a TOP 50 as of now. This is still very fluid so early on and a way to begin organizing players. Let me know your thoughts! floorandceiling.substack.com/p/2025-nba-d...

011

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 29/11/2024

Big picture approach here, but I'll continue to track Drake forward Cam Manyawu. Plays like a big despite listed at 6-8 - and although he's in his second college season, he was a 17 y/o freshman at Wyoming before transferring. He's getting stops, rebounding & facilitating but doesn't shoot at all.

010

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

Dylan Harper has quite frankly played like a no. 1 pick this week. I’m not saying he is THE first pick this year for me yet, but his last two games have been tremendous and they show so many things that I trust can translate to the NBA at a high level.

020

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

This possession sums up Ace Bailey's improvement points pretty well. His handle and strength are lacking, so he can't create space and he has to settle for a tough shot that ends up getting blocked

010

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

Overaggressive almost pursuing this rebound, so he's out of control on the box out and ends up giving up position plus the foul. That was Asa's fifth, so this was his final contribution of the game

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

Great strength to keep going in transition and finish the and-1. Newell's athletic pop and fluidity lends itself very nicely to open court situations

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

The broadcast missed what happened but he dunks in the next clip

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

Calls for the lob here, but doesn't get it

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

Maybe the hands on catch could be better - but it seems more to me like he's not quite positioned to receive the ball yet

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

This isn't quite the case here, but I wonder how Asa deals with bigger+more physical centers when he's at the 5. Puts up a good effort throughout this possession

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

Watch Asa Newell clear out the lane for his guard to drive & finish

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

St. John's defense holds up well here, but I wonder whether Asa could get more out of this roll (after the first screen) if he was more comfortable/capable with his right hand

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

Asa Newell is at his best finishing plays. That can mean shooting the three, but I prefer him closer to the basket

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

Asa gets scored on in the post here. I think it mostly comes down to craft because he doesn't give up that much ground after bumping. Maybe so intent on being vertical and not fouling that he becomes a little stiff in this clip

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

He's engaged and alert to not get back cut here. Maybe could've been a bit more secure with his hands trying to help out on the rebound in the first seconds of this clip, but it wasn't really his to begin with

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

I really like this sequence. Starts off with Asa using his length to close out on a three. After that, he rim runs really hard, so he's there to collect his teammate's blocked shot & his second jump is quick for the putback finish.

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

Acting as the screener on the empty side... would probably lead to a corner three if his teammate's skip pass was better... Then I like Newell's bounce drop-off on the short roll. It's a good defensive play to get the stop

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

Fortunate to not pay for gambling in the passing lane

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

Exactly what I wanna see from Asa Newell imposing his size+vertical pop against the mismatch. Perfect from the moment he deep seals and then goes rises quickly into the dunk.

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

Solid on defense closing out and then finishing the play with the rebound

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

Another short range miss for Asa in this clip. As we can see, he really wants to get to his left hand all the time. Goes left, spins right, then goes back left into that little hook shot again.

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

Cleaner look here with Somto Cyril flashing to then feed Newell. Asa should do better after that then imo. Has the size advantage and the defender is clearly flustered, but he rushes the jump hook from close range. This should be a make in the future though

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

I don't like the spacing when Georgia has both bigs in the paint. Also don't think it benefits Newell's game

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

Great hands from Asa here, gathering a tough pass which honestly could've been a turnover. Then has the body control to finish on the left side of the rim over length

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

Nice defensive rebound, making sure to get his body on his man

20 piece and the W for Darrion Williams at Barclays. Syracuse couldn’t keep him away from his spots. I’m sure the Texas Tech prospect made a few NBA decision makers a fan over the last two nights in Brooklyn #nbadraft

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

Darrion Williams up to 16 points and creating a bit of distance for Texas Tech now. Getting to his spots with incredible ease. So strong, and has also shown off his touch with a pull-up three and now a sweeping hook on the drive. 📈 #NBADraft

I've been monitoring & liking St. Joe's Rasheer Fleming this season. An assortment of interesting numbers: —6-9, 240 lbs with a 7-3/7-4 WS —76.2% at the rim this season (16/21 FG, 7 dunks) —45% on catch & shoots (9/20 FG) —6.6 BPM —71.7 TS% —4.3 BLK% —3.3 STL% —0⭐ HS recruit

Look at Kasparas Jakucionis' creativity. Took me a rewatch to spot the sweet pass at first

000

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

Kasparas Jakucionis is so skilled at getting to the free throw line. 16 FTAs in his first two games combined, followed by 7 FTA over his last two. Small sample size across the board of course, but wanna see where that figure ends up falling. He's always excelled at creating contact & drawing fouls

020

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

Like the composure and execution on the handle+pass from Will Riley here

000

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 20/11/2024

That's why clips like this one encourage me. Kam Jones' initial move off the L-R crossover gets cut off, but he moves the defender on the spin with strength, gets low, and carves out the angle to finish.

100

FLOOR and CEILING (Wilko) @floorandceiling.bsky.social · 20/11/2024

Starting to watch Kam Jones' triple-double tape and this a very nice pass. Brisk crossover to reject the screen, attracts the help, and releases the ball over the top to the cutter.

Six blocks (this one was my favorite) for Raptors rookie Ulrich Chomche 🇨🇲 in his last G League game. I'm still very bullish on the 18 y/o Cameroonian forward in the long term.
