But if all we can do is listen carefully and try to help someone that doesn't actually want for the change, it'll only drain you of your own mental energy. I'm rambling a bit but my DMs are open 💚

We all try our best to support our friends - but this doesn't mean letting them delve deeper into something problematic they've made part of themself. Trying to convey our point shouldn't vilify us but it'll usually come off as an attack and we'd just be pushed away.

When routine and learned habits are established while growing up in the developing years, it can be hard for one to see any errors if they aren't immediately being affected. Short term rewards that don't resolve the greater issue n all that.

As sad as it is, we can only do our best and hope that things pan out for their future as a byproduct. And I know for certain that you do more than your best for your friends and others, so thank you 💚

It's especially important during their early years where their brain is still absorbing information and interpreting things so they can handle their futures and how they go about their lives etc. All we can do is our best but we're only one influence of all of the interactions they may have.

A commission I did for @fluffybluevoid.bsky.social of their Floragato Ruby on a romp through Noe Town! Someone stop this thief! [ #pokemon | #pokemonart | #floragato ]

An illustration featuring a Floragato donning a green cloak with the hood flipped back, caught mid-leap as they carry the spoils of their latest heist in their Expedition Society-issued bag. The background places them in Noe Town, with tall rickety towers and structures of nuts and bolts lost in the mist. There's a very upset Kecleon in the background running toward Ruby, likely the owner of all the coins scattered around the Floragato.
