Honestly I apologize that a lot of my posts of late are just hot-take dunks on children's videogames. Not that I rescind anything I've said lmao. Honestly there are a lot of things that in motion I do like. Looks like it may feel good to -play-. I wish it was MORE committed to being different. So much is the same that we're left having to compare, which does both a disservice. Being so non-transformative will muddy the waters of OoT's legacy.

I wish it was only how it looks- it's also the writing being worse, which makes me anything but excited to see the material expanded on- its like filling in the cracks of a gold statue with with feces. I suspect it will -play- fine. Also you say that by Starfox: ZERO was barely a game.

Don't get me wrong, I still think this is the wrong direction for SF overall, and I have far more concerns beyond just how it LOOKS. But I'm really trying to be minimalistic / change as little as possible to show how easily you could make this at least -look- OK.

Slippy's more subtle. Nose is too bulbous, lips are too thick and mouth lacks shape, nostrils ill-defined, eye masses aren't confident, hands are too small. All the little things. Death by 1000 papercuts. I just don't know how things like this ship without someone fixing this stuff in paint overs.

New StarFox is heinous in more ways than I can really describe. We'll be referring to this as "StarFox '26" with the tonal disdain of "Sonic '06" before to long. Now I'm also concerned it may look that way because the movie is going to look like that, too.

I bought a 22 last year and have been enjoying it. I don't use touch though. Compared to my old Cintiq the increased resolution (1440p) + the comparatively lightweight frame is a breath of fresh air. Overall I don't have any grievances. The parallax is also pretty good.

Not to mention her mobility, you can air stall, heal in the air, sprint across the room to poke and retreat, and keep your distance using tools. I find avoiding attacks and patterns in Silksong much easier than late game HK bosses with all these options.

Having played more of the back half of SilkSong, I'd actually argue that ( beginning none withstanding ) SilkSong is an -easier- game than the first HK. Hornet has so many more defensive and offensive options available, I've been chewing through the late game bosses. + The map is easier to navigate.

Getting double tapped for 4 damage can be pretty damn brutal but I've also never really felt it wasn't mostly my fault for having poor positioning. And yeah the bother is people acting as if the game just HAS to change. The economy gripes also bug me, I like it. And they're changing it. Cool thanks.

An inherent irony is that the less competent an individual is- the more steadfast they defend their positions. Some part of them knows they are lucky to have them. Whilst competent people, sick of working with fools dragging them down, will just leave. They know they take their value with them.

It's really difficult to put yourself in that position, which is why people often do not speak up. But Institutions slowly rot from the inside otherwise. It's tiring to watch this occur in creative industries (and uh... other places) But it seems inevitable for any body that exists for long enough.
