Some folks just operate that way, and it’s usually on them to change, but “professionalism” as a concept is rooted in so many social and hierarchical conditions about projecting a “best self”, when honest conversations about communication styles can probably foster much more collaborative relations.

Been away from the office so away from my post-its. Sat through a training today and this came to mind: We often talk about how nd people can speak differently to avoid being misunderstood, but less about how others can educate themselves or have those conversations to avoid misunderstanding.
