I code more than I write.

April and May were all about launching On This Day Rewind, shipping two updates, and getting picked up by MacStories and German Apple blogs.

On This Day 1.5.1 is a small release with one change worth explaining: the app now shows recommendations for other indie apps via Kickstart Exchange — no tracking, never interrupting your photos, and off by default for Pro. Smart albums can be excluded now too, plus a few fixes. #OnThisDay #IndieDev

On This Day 1.5 is out. A new Merged Grid option removes the separation between years and shows all your photos in one continuous grid, you can now define the date format in your shared text yourself, and the widgets got some deserved love. The release also lands just in time for Relay's St. Jude fundraiser, so I'm giving 50% of the app's September proceeds to it.

On This Day 1.3 is out, and it's a big one. The app now supports time zones — photos show the zone they were actually taken in, and an optional banner can fix the cases where a time-zone difference put a photo on the wrong day. There's a new Pro option to burn the date right onto a photo before you share it, relative dates like "3 years ago" in fullscreen, a Pro setting to cap rows per year, plus faster, higher-res photo loading and a refined app icon. Thanks to everyone who tested the betas — this one took a while.

I ported four subtle themes I like — Rosé Pine, Everforest, Nord and Kanagawa — into Drafts. Thirteen variants in total, built with some help from Claude.
