Awesome. It is a good first step. When asked questions about how bad / frequent a symptom is just remember to baseline against a “normal” person and not what is your typical experience.

Ok. So this made me read a little more on the subject for .furry specifically. Looks like they can’t restrict who can register but they can have an AUP on what they can do. However, one is not published at present

From what I understand they can require there to be an eligibility criteria though. So, things like having content, intended use and even requiring folks to be community members should be in play IIRC. So, that should allow them to prevent anti furry groups or malware operators from using .furry

It very much depends on the industry. In all my tech jobs frontline managers not only had this responsibility but if they didn’t deal with stuff themselves the they also got put on a PIP and shown the door. Depending on how the assholeness manifested itself things can move pretty quickly.

Well. He became an influencer by purchasing a fursuit and doing some stuff that was outside of furry norms that rubbed people the wrong way. It was very inorganic. He isn’t new here at this point. I made the point I wanted to elsewhere in the thread though. I don’t have anything else to add

There is a set criteria for it. I outlined some of it in the previous message but here is more. At 200k across all platforms he is a macro influencer Heck. I would argue that his ability to drive this much discourse in the fandom with just a few videos is an example of him influencing the fandom.

He is an influencer. He literally meets the criteria for such. You can see this across his reach, his followers, his specific rise to fam, his actions and how people interact with him. I don’t even think that is up for debate.

I also don’t like influencer culture in general and this is the least organic version of it. When we accept that outside parties can instantly become celebrities just based on money we open ourselves to a lot of outside influence. And I think some suspicion is 100% warranted in the cases.

An industry plant is someone who got fame based on wealth so it fits. I have no issues with people spending their resources on the fandom but when someone who bills themselves as an influencer uses their wealth to grow from zero to famous overnight it rubs me the wrong way.

Two things I will say that is 100% true about boof is that he did come into the fandom as a rich kid who bought his way in. He also is very much an influencer type first. That does rub a lot of people the wrong way. So, he was/is treated with a lot of suspicion. As for the rest of it idk.
