Second is a page of Faye. Again, this cutout style just really sparks joy for me ^^. I feel like I've been neglecting getting more art of her, so it really felt nice to get a dedicated commission for her too after so long.

A small rabbit creature with wings and antlers, in three poses. They are in a stay sky type scene. The art appears like it has been put together out of cut out pieces of felt pieces.

Emerging from my cave after not posting anything for months to post a pair of pieces I got commissioned. These pieces were from @thilinky.bsky.social who has once again blown me away. First is this page of Leaf, I still can't get over the storybook vibe and atmosphere they created here.

A page showing a small fluffy creature with long ears and a hooded cape in three different poses. They are in a forest scene. The artwork looks like it has been put together with cut out pieces of felt.

Hey artists. I love the work you all do, but some of you, REALLY need to start actually tagging your adult content. Respectfully, I don't care if the end of it is covered. If you've clearly dedicated significant time drawing that material stretched, like that from it, you know it should be tagged.

Riiight? They spark so much joy... Thi did great, they instantly understood the assignment ^^

I got a wonderful commission from @thilinky.bsky.social of my kobold reporter character, Qwill! ^^ I'll always love seeing my characters in different artists' styles and their cutout style here is such a delight. They feel like they're coming right off the page from a storybook.

An art page showing a kobold with a calico cat print pattern in three poses. They are wearing a newsboy cap, brown waistcoat and messenger bag. One is holding a newspaper happily. One is running with loose papers in hand some sheets scattering to the wind behind them. And one is standing with their notepad in hand politely.

The background shows half-timbered Tudor-style houses and a pattern prints.

Awww! It's easy to be nice when you're dealing with someone who is a joy to work with! Am so happy to have these new cute arts of Leaf and Faye here for my collection ^^.

In this economy... in this world we're in now? The luxury of working with and supporting a real person to help make something fun and creative feels more valuable than ever.

I'm pretty quiet on bsky, but I need you to know that these silly fun arts are sparking real joy. That you're finding time, even when it's limited, to create and share arts really is a treat! ^^

I'd definately put myself down as someone who would be willing to comm you again without any pressure! (Though I cant put my money where my mouth is *right now* more next month when my money is healthy again)

Oh Thank you! Doodlelotl did an incredible job with them as they always do!

Aww damn, that really is such a good pin. Golden Sun pins are so few and far between, I'm honestly disappointed I missed this one when you were selling it.

Flint Whitelock @flintwhitelock.bsky.social · 18/04/2025

Firstly, it's suprising how much someone just thinking of a character I came up with in this way could make my day. So thank you. Secondly, he do be determined, especially so for a front page story like this one. He'll be excitedly talking about getting this scoop for weeks!

Flint Whitelock @flintwhitelock.bsky.social · 11/04/2025

Ahh well thats ok, no apologies needed I'll just have to keep an eye out for it! Sadly being from the UK reaching an event is off the table, but I'll keep some money aside all hopeful (and a little extra for that scary postage).

Flint Whitelock @flintwhitelock.bsky.social · 10/04/2025

Oh these look amazing! I've been looking out for good LinkClick enamel pins for so long. Is there any estimate of when they might be available online so I can make a note to check?

Flint Whitelock @flintwhitelock.bsky.social · 26/03/2025

Ask them to blink twice if they're under duress. I guess it'd be worth giving their international sites a look at and just double check how accessible their support is compared to domestic. Test if they rely on the same chatbot that cant handle nuance and wont give you a human contact for support.

Flint Whitelock @flintwhitelock.bsky.social · 26/03/2025

I realy should have read because almost immediately after sending I noticed you point that out. Apparently Evri just gives me a visceral recoil reaction instantly that I didn't know I had ^^;.

100

Flint Whitelock @flintwhitelock.bsky.social · 26/03/2025

Oh dear... for uk buyers, if you're able, maybe have the option to pay a bit more to avoid evri. It's fine, until it isn't, and then it's hell. 100% dependant on if that local area has a good set of drivers. I've also had complaints with them that only got resolved because I CC'd in their CEO.

Flint Whitelock @flintwhitelock.bsky.social · 15/03/2025

I'm sure they'll have a ruff start, but then they'll be a purrfect match.

Flint Whitelock @flintwhitelock.bsky.social · 14/03/2025

He tried to find pants, but it's painfully difficult to find someone who makes kobold clothing on a budget... D: Maybe if he finds enough scoops and sells enough papers he'll be able to afford some.

010

Flint Whitelock @flintwhitelock.bsky.social · 14/03/2025

Also occurs to me I didn't post this one, I just reposted them. So... I worked with @bemusedbehemoth.bsky.social a while back for this kobold and they did incredible work. I really love this little guy, and will treasure this design which came out even better than I originally imagined.

A kobold with a calico cat style pattern. He is wearing a hat with torn holes that his horns are poking though, a waistcoat and a leather messenger bag.

He is holding a Quill in one hand and a notebook in the other. He appears bright, enthusiastic, and ready to take notes. To the right side is a selection of items that go into his messenger bag: A money pouch; newspapers; a tie; a rolling pin (that appears to be magically printing words onto paper); a notebook; and an ink bottle with writing quill.

Text is written in the top write identifying him as Qwill (pronounced as Quill), The Kobold Reporter

I commissioned @rossydoesdrawings.bsky.social for an art of my news reporter kobold Qwill and here he is. Out on the hunt for scoops! I'll always adore this specific flavour of storybook style Rossy has. Their art is always so full of personality

A drawing of a cute kobold with a calico cat pattern. They are wearing a cap with torn holes that their horns are poking through, a waistcoat and a leather messenger bag. They are also carrying a writing quill at the ready to write down any news they discover.

The background shows an old-fashioned town.

Oh that's super exciting that you're feeling more up to that again! I'll have to keep my eyes open and a little money aside, it'll be fun to maybe commission a couple more Qwills.

They really are a little treasure in my arts collection. ^^ I was soooo much shyer then than I am now so I feel like I was a little awkward, so I want to thank you again for being so nice and approachable throughout!

Some sketch pages of Leaf that I commissioned from @liliuhms.com way back in 2020! Still feeling thankful that the opportunity for these came up and my appreciation of these really grows as time goes on. ^^

A sketch page depicting a short furry creature with long ears that drape down their sides. They are wearing a green hooded cloak and are drawn in a variety of poses: waving; sleeping; looking at cute bugs; munching on a snack; standing in the rain with a large plant leaf.

All these Rainworld arts are amazing! I love the atmosphere here; it really is reminding me of the dread I felt when I first encountered one of those blue tentacle legs reaching onto my screen.

A little late because I am *awful* at posting on social media... buuut I got my small pack of kobolds from @bemusedbehemoth.bsky.social ! Super happy with these chaotic little creatures that are about to swarm onto my pinboard. ^^

A box of kobold enamel pins. They are all getting up to mischief in various ways: eating gems, riding minecarts, and wielding weapons too large for them to wield with their tiny kobold bodies.

Yesss! Octopath 2 gave me so much joy playing, they really improved it in every way. Even characters I wasn't 100% on gave me something. I really hope more people are able to ignore the loud negativity there was for the original and give it a shot. It'd a shame for people to overlook it.

Flint Whitelock @flintwhitelock.bsky.social · 29/05/2024

I'm still so excited about this lil guy whenever I look at him. You really captured the whole concept of Qwill so well. Still learning, but overflowing with enthusiasm. Trying his best to dress the part. Excited to find those news stories to share. I really couldn't have asked for better! ^^

Oh no they're absolutely brazen. If you appear at all vulnerable or like you're not knowlegeable in the area they will take advantage in so many ways... So it's basically always best to have at least someone who wont be phased by it. it's honestly kinda scary.

Flint Whitelock @flintwhitelock.bsky.social · 09/03/2024

I've been having so many nightmares with tradesmen in the UK like that lately so completely sympathise with this. Plasterers, electricians, plumbers.... Had roof repairs try to charge me £1000 because I was alone at the time then then when a confident person was there the price end up being £75.

110

Flint Whitelock @flintwhitelock.bsky.social · 03/12/2023

Honestly can't even imagine this.... the joy of commissioning for me so often is working with an artist to help bring an imagined idea to life and making something new. Huge respect for you drawing a hard line even in the tough money situation you are in.

Flint Whitelock @flintwhitelock.bsky.social · 11/11/2023

They arent here yet that I know of, sadly. I'm always hesitant to try and push invites to people unless they're a close friend or they signal interest, since multiple social medias can be a stress for some. So I didn't give them one yet.

Unfortunately for Leaf his clumsy nature meant was never destined to take after his father in baking despite his love of baked goods, though he can make the occasional tasty, crude bread loaf. Since he was raised in the bakery Leaf has a love of warm fresh bread since it reminds him of home.

I figure I should post more of my little OC Characters here we go… This is Leaf, he’s a little fluffy guy. He is about 80cm tall, (about 2’7”). He is actually an orphan who was taken in and raised by a Dwarven Baker, Orrick (sadly no artwork for him yet but someday).

Figured I'd finally make a first post here. Not fully sure what I think of this place yet, but a lot of artists seem to be here now so it's nice to have a backup to follow arts. I might share my commissioned art here too. Here's one of my characters, Leaf and Faye, by Doodlelotl.
