I recently saw Wallace Shawn’s play (really mostly a series of monologues) What We Did Before Our Moth Days which seems to be partly inspired by his father New Yorker editor, William Shawn’s 40 years affair with fellow writer Lillian Ross. Lillian wrote this book about that affair.
