One of my current projects in rotation.

Has anybody ever used this polyester(?) floss? This kit came as a freebie, and I do have a couple of other kits I bought that came with it, but they aren't in my current queue, and I've never used it before. I figured that if I made any mistakes, doing it on the free one won't feel so bad.

I went to the hand specialist the other day and came home with two new rings. If these don't work, I'll need surgery.

My life didn't improve this week. I washed the dog bowls because they were gross from the meat I gave them when the refrigerator died. Then I took one dog out. Came back in, and the house was hot and humid. Put the dog up, and could hear water running at the sink. Check the faucet, and reality hit.

She won't be home until next week. At least I always have a large stock of ramen for snacks and emergencies. Neither one of us gets paid until next month (thankfully, not too far away). I love ramen, but even that gets old. At least I can get drinks to cool in the freezer, so I rescued the cheeses.

Picture of refrigerator interior stuffed with food. Almost all had to be thrown out. I rescued some of the cheese because the freezer still gets drinks cold.

The dr didn't know what was up, so I got blood work and a urinalysis. Crickets, so it must not be serious. When the dr opens today, I'm going to chase up my results. In the meantime, I had to order different sandals that will fit my giant 8649 feet. Enjoy my pretty sandals while I can't.

Sport, closed toe sandal with black and gray base, purple trim, and purple and white decorative loops and elastics. There's only one strap at the back, but I need an additional strap over the top to accommodate the excessive swelling.

I've been battling fatigue, so I've only been stitching on the lion because it's the easiest to get out and put up.

MTG needs one of these when she's charing DOGE. youtu.be/oqk9qL7FI6s?...

An actual FB post found on my local PD page. Somewhere out there is a guy looking for communists on side streets and in parking lots.

I haven't spent much time on here. I do a lot of stitching when it's nice. These are the last pictures, but I've done a little more since then.

This week's cross stitch update and my newest needleminder:

Partially completed Godzilla and Shire horse cross stitch printed on fabric and in scroll frames with Godzilla, Flying Spaghetti Monster, cartoon dog, dark horse tile, gray horse tile, round dark horse button, and dumpster fire needleminders.

I did NOT need to start another project, but I was waiting for my neck light to charge since I can't see well enough without it on my other ones. This is 11ct, and all of the colors are bright enough to see without my neck light. I started on the orange in the sky.

Finally! Some visible progress. I also got two new needleminders.

Partially completed cross stitch projects of Godzilla and a Shire horse on printed Aida.

I went on a rant yesterday to my best friend. I've known her forever. She suggested I share it, so here it is.

It brought back this. I was surprised to find it.

Probably not a good idea to be intolerant of LGBTQ on Bluesky. You may find someone who vet's their follows when they get bored.

I really miss agility. My dog and I weren't even close to this fast, but I was a 4-H volunteer leader, and working with the kids was awesome.

Murdoch actually grew into his ears, but it was questionable for a while.

I added this into my rotation because there are large chunks of color. Sometinest I just need to not have to think about my stitching.

I got a little behind because my neck light went out, but I'm back to stitching "at speed" again.

My best friend and I have been singing this to each other for over 40 years:

Just a quick update. Not a whole lot to show. It will go faster when I'm not doing so much confetti.

This is "Fred" the friendly fish. Always happy to see me when I visited the office complex for the dermatologist.

I didn't know we were expecting snow until late last night. It's really nice (but cold), but if it had been windy, the dogs would have to do their business fast because there's no real wind block here.

flecksable_flyer @flecksable-flyer.bsky.social · 30/11/2024

YAY! Cedar Waxwings are finished just in time. On to the next project, "Godzilla" as a birthday/Christmas/graduation gift for my roommate's daughter. This is going to take six to eight months, maybe more. Just in time for winter hibernation.

I was reminded by my calendar that tomorrow is Endless' Gotcha Day. Endless was my medical alert service dog. She could detect my migraines 20 minutes in advance, which usually gave me enough time to take rescue meds. She was the only dog since 1989 when I was in a car accident to be able to do it.

I didn't get any stitching done over the weekend because of a migraine, but I managed to get three lengths of floss last night.

Yes, it's cold and miserable this evening. Even the dogs were willing to get down to business and get it done and back inside.
