Went to my local dollar general to get more pillows for my guestroom & met these wonderful shoppers. He said she was 23 yrs old. Beautiful & very well behaved.

My Christmas decorations gathered over the years. In a tiny house there isn't room for a tree. I found this grapevine tree several years ago & absolutely love it! Grandchildren helped me find the two gourd santa clause' & a daughter in law gave me the surfer santa this year. An early gift that I have enjoyed & he is welcomed into the bunch.

Happy International Pecan Pie Day! Here's my favorite recipe from an old Florida postcard. Enjoy ❤️😊❤️ P.S. I've been using this recipe for decades <chef's kiss> everyone loves it!! Publix made an excellent frozen pie crust but no more post covid. 😔 I did find a very good replacement at Aldi 😘

3 eggs
2/3 cup sugar
1 cup dark corn syrup
1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup pecan halves (whole or chopped)
1 nine inch unbaked pie curst
Oven 350 degrees
Beat eggs with sugar & dash of salt, corn syrup & melted butter. Add pecans to unbaked pie shell & bake for 50 minutes or until knife inserted in middle comes out clean. Cool, cut, enjoy with whipped cream or ice cream.

Disappointed when I shopped today to stock up on pantry items. Hershey's changed the packaging of their Cocoa and REDUCED the quantity from 8 ounces in a plastic square tub to 6 ounces in a zip lock pouch. What's this? Shrinkflation?Posted this question on their FB page. We'll see if they reply?!?

Happy #Caturday this beautiful day in the oldest city by the sea in La Florida~ was looking for my bluebird of happiness & found none. Being resourceful & in need of JOY I found this little hat in my Spring Easter box & of course, chose to have Mr. Murphy be my fill in. EnJoy 😊 (he got treats) 🐈❤️

Yesterday was hard, days ahead will be hard. Read an article by Bernice King in the morning so I watched the inauguration as she stated we should, to listen. After I went & voted in the 6th congressional district dressed in every warm 🔵sweater I own. I will vote, march, write, speak & pray.

It's the last #Caturday of 2024! Hard to believe all the changes we've seen this year & there's more change coming. We had a very low key, sweet Christmas & hope for Love & Light to prevail in the coming year. Stay close to positive people; we are stronger together 😊

In a small house you have a small holiday display. The Zen concrete kitty cat Santa brought me fits in perfectly. Grapevine tree, gord Santa, plants, battery candle & concrete cat displayed on cedar chest. Hubby say, happy, merry, glad it's almost over. Peace on earth, goodwill to all!

Happy 3rd #Caturday of November 2024! It was downright chilly this morning in NE FL. Woke up to a breezy 60 degrees, brrrr. Mr. Murphy stayed on the porch in the sun with his back to the wind & wasn't too impressed with me wanting his picture. He got over it & is now back asleep on the couch!
